Things that SE already said NO but they really need to reconsider it

1. Realistic hair physics



We need the same (or better) hair physics like SE did with Tomb Raider reboot game.

Seeing our hair pierce through the clothes is annoying.


2. Realistic equipment physics



Same with the hair, we're sicked of the clipping issues. Our PCs are more than capable for it. Even the PS4 can do it, as we can see in other PS4 games.


3. More inventory spaces



It's ok if we can't have more spaces because the server needs to create a backup every second or whatever. But I don't think the server has to backup retainer inventories too, unless the player is browsing it. When the player isn't looking on the retainer storage, there's zero chance that the items in there will change on its own so you don't have to backup something that isn't changing. Adding more spaces for retainers should be possible.


4. Mantle slot



Mantles/Capes/Scarfs should have their own slot!


5. Flying in A Realm Reborn areas



I understand that the old maps weren't designed to be viewed from higher angle. The players will see a lot of black holes in the mountains or something. But they can fix those maps, please!


6. Damage parser



Or at least self parser. People want to improve their skills but it's hard if they don't know if they're good or bad with their current attack rotations.


7. High-resolution textures



Now we have DX11 client but why can't we have better textures too?


8. The Butt Slider!!



If they decide to implement the realistic cloth physics, they'll not have to restrict the cloth models to certain character models anymore. The clothes can go along with any size of the butt.

I only considerer really necesary 3, 6 and 7.3 and 6 because are just something good and healthy gameplay wise. 6 to let players improve, 3 to let players play confortable.

7, HD textures.... it's incredibly that we don't have an optional HD textures setting. Some textures are really really reallly really bad, ugly. In FF XIV you can take really pretty screenshots, but also some crappy ones.
And it shound't be such a big effort to make a HD texture pack.

Mantle slot... Will require a redesign of a lot of equipment. It's not necesary at all.

It could be nice, but I would add it after an expansion, and make it compatible only with the new items.


Better hair/clothes... Well, would be nice, but is not that bad as it is.


Butt slider. (?) I guess that more personalization isn't bad, but I don't feel is important at all.

Hair physics similar to, or better than TressFX is never going to happen in FFXIV. The technology costs millions of dollars to create, but that isn't the problem as they could just implement preexisted technology, but the performance issues. On just Lara Croft it cuts down on performance significantly, around 10-20+ FPS with AMD TressFX, and 30+ FPS with Nvidia HairWorks. There's zero chance of it running on either console, and it would run like ass on even high end PCs. Basic equipment physics should be possible, not idea why it isn't implemented already. High resolution textures is something I think we need, there are so many things that have their appearance ruined by low resolution textures. Sure, the model quality is high for an MMO, but when even WoW (WoD+) has better resolution textures than FFXIV there's no excuse.
