I can't understand why everyone seems to hate it. It's really easy and there are plenty of areas where you can gather all the trash mobs and burn them down. The only thing slightly annoying is running last boss as BLM but if you stand at the ends of the arena you can bypass most AoE's except the stupid number of targeted ones in the last phase.

I think making an additional penalty that banns someone from DF for 24hrs after the 5th duty abandon would curb most of it. Heck even a 12 hr DF ban would basically lock most people out of the game for the rest of the day.

Which is totally not fair if you abandoned group because you got paired with assholes, just rude people, or those who are constantly afk but friends so they'll never vote "yes" on a kick and anything the like.

Psychological studies show that you are more likely to get the outcome you want by rewarding the behaviour you want vs punishing the behaviour you don't want. Perhaps the reward of the roulette is not sufficient for certain scenarios. It's difficult to say without the proper data (i.e. is this all in one particular dungeon, if so rewards may need increasing for that dungeon) etc.

dps putting out at least 70% of what the class is capable of.

Unfortunately, that is a tall order my friend. I consider myself lucky if I am paired with a DPS that puts out 70% of their total. I've rarely if ever been paired with one who does more than that, and much more often they are near 40-50.

There are a other ways to deal with this like to restric the abandoning like vote kicking, once every 4h, so if you have to leave you can. Or let the abandoning count towards the drawbacks, after 3 abandonings/drawbacks 30 min lockout.

I agree it's unreasonable and unfair but so is the fact that people are quiting duties at an unreasonable rate. Something greater than the 30 minute penalty is needed.

What would that actually do, besides penalize both those who have a valid reason for leaving the dungeon?

the penalty should be it charges them for the month again then uninstalls itself! yeah cause thats helpful. I have been working on tanking a lot recently and I get dungeons I don't like and run through fine, I been grinding Aurum Vale on my dps and tanks never leave, maybe not try to speak for what should be done, its just people not just tanks. Sorry but I am tired of people complaining about certain types of job doing it, its anyone, we can multi class so what to help the problem? be a tank more often.

really there is no reason in the game currently to cause someone not to use there penalty to get an advantage.

Just Q for a roulette if you get a super easy one, like cape westwind or ifrit story mode do it, if not leave take the penalty and try again in 30 minutes and get back to working or pvping or whatever else you had to do.

If you have other stuff to do and your not on a 30 minute penalty your just wasting it.

haven't noticed this at all myself (luckily) and also I don't understand it either. I just hope this ''trend'' doesn't expand.
