PS4 Hard Drive Upgrade

Hey all

So I am going to be upgrading my consoles HDD to a larger capacity one as I am struggling to allow games to update I have done some research into what can and cannot be backuped up to an external drive that can then be transferred back onto the new HDD. However it seems that all applications need to be downloaded and reinstalled again from the store which leads me here to ask my question!

Does anyone know where the saved data is kept on the ps4 for my final fantasy character? This would be the save info for all my macros, hotbars and gearsets as I have a LOT of macros and do not wish to have to rewrite them all is the data kept locally or on the cloud? Or would a fresh download and install of the game delete it? My hope is that it is kept locally like the pc one is so I can back it up but would appreciate someone confirming that

Save data for macros, gearsets, settings, etc is on your console. There's an option on the FFXIV launcher to Back Up those settings though. Well, the option is there on PC, I would assume it's there for PS4 as well.

The PS4 does also have an option to backup everything to an external hard drive as long as it has the capacity to do so. It gave me the option when I upgraded my hard drive awhile ago, but I didn't have one at the time so I just ended up re-down-loading everything.
