An Attempt To Create a Better & Friendly Community

Problem: Using PFs to gather people to fulfill a common goal. However, there exist a large playerbase who are liars or are not responsible enough for their own game (e.g. learning mechanics, monitoring their DPS output. (please dont go into the lack of parsers. I have a blm friend who can do top DPS but is on PS4.)). This results a negative sentiment towards "casuals" from "elites" OR vice-versa. It also results in PFs not being able to meet their learning/clearing objectives.

I have been playing this game actively since 2.0 and have my fair share of end-game content pre-nerf. I play in a static because I value the relationship between my static members and I. I have an english-based static and a japanese FC. I am largely an introvert, and it is not for selfish reasons I avoid PFs.

As such, PF is a dangerous game to play because there are alot of lying or drama involved. I honestly feel the situation can be improved if every single one tries. Well, it will not get better overnight, but it will certainly get better in time.

    The proposal

    The elites/the casual issue
In a PVE game, where everything can be researched, in my opinion, the casual/elite issue can be drawn to a very very thin line. Research your game before you play, put some pride into your game, because 7 others depend on you for it. And if you have thoroughly researched the fight, who can say that the elites know everything? There will not be anymore elite VS casuals.

    Respect PF requirements
If a PF states "cleared personnel only", won't it be obnoxious for someone to go in fresh and waste the time of 7 others? Honesty works actually. I've seen T5 parties fill up in an instance. all was written on the PF was "Newbie need help for T5". I was 2nd in the party, and the party was filled up in less than 10 mins.

I only want to go in blind
Sure! Make a PF yourself. If you are not a natural leader, often people will step up to the leadership role to lead it for you.

Well, if everyone is honest, I believe people will be less obnoxious. If people were less obnoxious, people will feel more compelled to be more honest. What goes around comes around!

Some nice idea's and one of the things that made me put the game down for a while was how nasty people where becoming to each other, I went and played a few other games for a few months came back and though not much has changed things are slowly getting better we can only hope the community can become more willing to embrace and accept eachother for the many different personalities and playstyles there are out there. *Finger's & Toes crossed from a very long time player*

So you propose that lazy players should stop being lazy and that they should not exploit PF parties for their own gain?

Unfortunately I don't think they are going to agree with your "elitist" attitude.

A very good sentiment. Maybe some will read it and learn from it, maybe not. But we can only really start with ourselves.

While you're not wrong, you do realise that less than 10% of the community reads the forum, right?

I would like to add. If you are in another FC's alliance's diadem party, while anyone's free to make suggestions; as a guest, you should respect the FC's decisions and priorities.

    Good suggestions but..

For the first 1, in truth humans learn differently. Some learn better if they study, some learn better by doing. Also this may be a shock, not everyone in the world owns a pc. I play this solely on the ps3, and alot of these guide sites are laggy, freeze up or shut down my ps3. And the ps3 youtube sucks.

What would help more is people learn to communicate better, be more open minded and stop going along the lines of "wasting the groups time", you should only speak for yourself not the hypothetical group.

I think if we take into consideration those around us, and communicate better, think thise will go leagues in improving the community.

    personal opinion:
One thing i missed in ff11 was the level of communication people had, before doing content alot of people would ask who was new. And people stated as such, then the party leader would explain each person role, then do a trial run. If that went well then either wipe or try to beat it in that run.

It just seems now a days people come up with every excuse in the book to not communicate, kinda sucks,

true, but there is word of mouth if good ideas catch on.

Its how Elder scrolls became popular from a company who only used to port sports games.
