I just Zerg rush mobs for 2 hours. Whatever place feeds the swarm the fastest works for me. I go to Dino island because it the hive mind's currently established all you can eat buffet.

More like I can't play my main job because the targets have capped out their effects on them so the SMN DoTs can't apply and things like Fester have "no effect." -_-

it's fairly simple really.
the only other real options are the cockatrice island which is rank 2 triceratops and rank 4's that spam sleep bombs all over your party, also very limited supply
the island with worms and grove guardians which is rank 2 and rank 4 mix
or the dino island which is rank 3 and rank 4 mix

it's kind of just a matter of math.
Hard mode just replaces everything with monsters one rank higher so it ends up being the best area there too

Even if there was no optimal spot to farm, chances are people would go to a certain spot anyway. Because it's easier to farm in a big group. Unless your computer is old and slow.

Best farm spot it seems. What really seems to matter is getting everyone in one area. So it's a good gathering spot.

Mostly because it's where everyone goes currently. It's just understood. Gather together and kill lots of mobs fastest. If a faster/better way comes to light you can be sure it will become known and then people will change, but right now it's just how it goes.
