    [PC] Graphics - tearing

    Hi there,

I'm a new player on PC. I like the look of the game but I often get annoying "tearing" -- some part of the image is sliced and disrupted -- especially when I look left and right quickly.

I have a Geforce 960GTX running on desktop full screen, 1080p, about 60fps. OS is Win 8.1. Screen is an Asus VN247, driver is pnp generic monitor.

I tried to modify vsync in NVidia control panel : active, adaptative.
I tried in-game parameters, with the img per second : no limit, 60.
    Nothing changes.

When I record videos it doesn't show up.

    Any advice is welcome

Have you updated to the latest driver:
    http://www.nvidia.co.uk/download/dri...px/94363/en-uk

    Version: 358.91 WHQL
    Release Date: 2015.11.9
    Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit

It's a link to the international one so if you're US English just go to nvidia.com address.

I have the same model and have never had any issues with graphics up full. I always do a settings clear though when I install a new driver.

Double check your clock timings against the reference design for your card. Can get the specs from nvidia site and use a free tool like GPU-Z to read your card's profile and realtime clocks. Out of the box, many models have been clocked higher then the reference design and depending on how far the vendor pushed them it can cause some stability issues in different environments.

The ramped up settings may be fine under ideal conditions, but there are a lot of variables in play that aren't likely to match the lab environment they were tested in. Power supply, cooling, driver tweaks...sometimes things need to be notched back a hair to improve stability. This can be done with free tools like MSI Afterburner or nVidia Inspector.

The driver update seems to have solved or at least reduced the problem (I only played a few minutes).

I'll keep in mind the clock timings matter. My card is a EVGA 960 SC that's slightly overclocked by default, yes.

    Official timings
    "Normal" 960 : 1127 MHz
    EVGA 960 SC : 1216

    My timings
    NVidia panel : 1215
    Inspector : 1216

Thank you Saccharin & Raist ^_^
