    Can we please have DoF?

    Now with the added /icam in 3.1, we can more clearly see (...no pun intended) how DoF works in this game and what it actually does. I know it's something that can really strongly divide the community: some love it, some outright hate it ... I haven't really seen middle ground there. Personally, I love it, so I'm asking this:

    Can we please have Depth of Field as a general graphics option to enable or disable for the game itself?

    It's already in there, it works well (at least I can't recall complaints that it doesn't), it would be a nice bonus for those of us who like it and have been missing it from ARR/HW, and in the form of a toggle, it wouldn't be an issue for those who prefer not having it. Please consider.

    PS: Yes, I'm aware it has been present in some select scenarios, to a certain degree. But those are special exceptions that really don't affect just "playing the game".

    I would like it but I would like it improved the DoF in /gpose is very basic and from what I can tell it isn't dynamic. If they could pull it off like dying light that would be rad.

    On a side note can we PLEASE GET SOME FREAKIN MOTION BLUR?

    If it's toned way down from the /icam, it's way too strong on it. Motion blur could be a cool option to have too.

    So long as they're purely OPTIONAL. Particularly in the case of motion blur. Frankly, while I don't notice motion blur if it's there from the beginning, if it's turned on later it's incredibly distracting. It can also be a particular problem with third person gameplay IMO. First person I don't mind it as much, but because of the fact that you have to be facing enemies in order to attack them in this game, (and the slightest camera movement will cancel casting), first person just isn't an option for actual gameplay.....

    Hence the "IMO" in my post. I'm just not a fan of motion blur in third person. It's a little bit less of a problem in faster paced games like Gears, but it does still result in a lot of situations where you're moving so much and so quickly that you simply can't tell what's going on in part due to the motion blur. In slower paced games, (at least in terms of movement), like XIV, it can be distracting when you switch the camera around to see mechanics or check on the situation around you better. I'm by no means saying that it would upset me if it was added to the game, because I can adapt, just that I would prefer that if it is, it be an option to turn it on or leave it off.....

    I was flying stationary above someone using stone magics and noticed the excellent motion blur effect that causes. It could be fun in the right scenario.
