    What's the point of gating Hard Mode behind 40 hours RNG exploration?

    So,
    we worked hard in the past month to build 4 airship, spending materials, time, gils, seals. We spent time sending them to in the islands to get all 4 to rank 50. Then, now we need to send them out to unlock IF RNGod put his eyes on us to unlock Hard Mode? We are a 300 ppls FC who have now 3 airship trying to unlock these Hard Modes and only one available to do Diadem (Normal).

    What's the stupid point of gating it not only behind FC's (that from my point of view is FINE) but also behind stupid RNG?

    Don't know if that helps (I'm sorry if iot doesn't) but our FC gained access to the Diadem Hard with only 1 airship discovering it and that airship was on farming. So maybe you can sometimes only send one to use the other 3 to explore the normal mode?
    Also from our experience in HM yesterday it doesn't really yield more or better gear than NM (mobs are definitely harder though), although maybe there's something we missed.

    So imo don't worry too much about not having access to HM yet, and I will pary to RNGesus for your FC

    I don't know my FC doesn't even have one airship with Didadem hard access. And we don't even have the 2nd slot open yet.


    I imagine its for the same dumb reason why they gated Alexander savage behind normal then having to farm it for gear cause of the insane dps needed. They want to force us to use the duty finder to help strangers.

    Huh I think this reason alone of having to be forced into duty finder for stuff is why things become toxic so fast. Time to rethink the duty finder devs.

    While Duty Finder isn't always the best for people (the groups I've had have been pretty good tbh), it should be noted that Hard Mode is currently rather pointless from what I have experienced. We have four airships capable of going to hard mode as of about an hour ago, but it's just not worth it. I achieved more in two NM DF runs than I did with four HM runs. And my FC mates were often better geared than the PUGs. Hard Mode is simply... too hard. Well, more to the point, there isn't anything that justifies the additional difficulty.
