Also, when was the last time you did a defrag of your harddrive?
I ran a total defrag 3 days before 1.9s launch, in anxious preparation of the awesome patch.

As for settings, I just recently found a stable setup with my video card, it runs smoother and the Vsync is nice, but it isnt perfect and I would still like to find a way to average all around 40 fps when I am in really high activity areas.

Fullscreen at 1680x1050
No AA
General Draw 8
Background Draw 3
Shadows at Standard
No Ambient Occlusion
No Depth of Feild
Disanble Cutscene Effects
Enable Hardware Mouse
Texture Quality Standard
Texture Filtering Standard

and no changes to my sound or font settings whatsoever.
I would also like to point out that my processor NEVER goes into max load with this game, the cores seem to cascade in load. Core 1 will run 40%, core 2 will run 50%, core 3 will run 60%, and Core 4 will run 70%, and my overall average processor usage is 50%...

LASTLY! The task manager has my program on lowest priority on a persistent basis
