Race Idea: Moglings

Mogling

Distant, terrestrial cousins to the Moogles of the Twelvewoods and, by extension, Moghome.
Life on the ground has led to a change of their physiology, causing their limbs to become more pronounced and their wings to shrink.
Moglings hold Moogles in high regard, as those who are closest to their ancestors.
Moglings possess a natural curiosity, as well as a pension for mischief that they regularly must sate.

General Physical Appearance
Their bodies are covered in a coat of short-fur.
Small muzzled noses and mouths.
Long, pointed ears on the top of their head.
One, long antenna with a pompom on top.
Pompoms and tips of the ears are the same color as hair.
Small pair of flightless, bat-like wings on their upper back.
Have small, padded paws instead of feet.
Iris and Pupils take up a larger portion of the eye.

Fur Color
Instead of Skin Color, Moglings have the Fur Color option
Mogling fur comes in a variety of pastel colors.

Terra Cotta to Light Red
Light Pink to Puce
Light Lavender to Light Purple
Light Blue to Steel Blue

Tribes

The Wander-Wings
Wanderlings for short
Having traveled farther and farther from the safety of the Twelvewoods, these Moglings have changed the most from their ancestors, becoming tall and almost human-like.
Their wings are smaller, their pompom antenna are shorter, and their muzzles are less defined then their Wonder-Wooder counterparts.

Culture
Wander-Wings are a curious lot, seeking knowledge and intrigue where ever they go.
Generally nomadic in nature, Wander-Wings can settle down in an area they feel might peak their interest or where they might be the most help.
If not traveling by themselves, Wander-Wings will travel in groups of 2 to 8 via caravans, with each mogling have their assigned duties.
Wanderlings make a pilgrimage to the Twelvewoods once in a while to share their stories and findings with Moogle-kind.
Having been away from the woods for so long, the Wander-Wings cannot commune nor hear the Elementals.

Height
Males: Taller then Male Lalafell but shorter then a Female Miqo'te
Females: Taller then Female Lalafell but shorter then Female Au'Ra

Naming Convention
Having been separated from the rest of Moogle-kind for so long, Wanderlings name their offspring off of things or people they hope the offspring will grow in some way to be like.
Families generally stick to a naming theme for their offspring.
Objects are generally a popular naming theme (with food being an odd obsession), although people and places are not out of the norm either.
Surnames generally include words that pertain to moogle-kind like "Kupo", "Fur", "Whisker", etc and end with a gender specific suffix.
Surnames that don't end with a suffix are considered gender neutral.
Wanderlings put more gender-emphasis on the surname then with the first name, generally wanting more unique first names for their offspring, just in case they go down in history.

Name Examples
~Kirschtorte Whiskerwindo (Kirschtorte is a kind of a cake, the surname is Whiskerwind, with -o denoting male)

~Eclair Whiskerwindette (Another Wanderling from the Whiskerwind clan, Eclair is a kind of dessert, with -ette denoting female)

~Excalibur Kupolina (Excalibur is a mythical weapon from European lore, the surname is Kupolin, with -a denoting female)

~Joyeuse Kupolinerd (Another Kupolin, Joyeuse in another mythical weapon, with -erd denoting male)

~Lini Mogmourn (Lini is from Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced, both as a character in a story and a recruit-able character, Mogmourn is the surname but lacks a suffix, being gender neutral)

The Wonder-Wooders
Woodlings for short
Nestled in the Twelvewoods, the Wonder-Wooders have adapted to running through the brushes, briers, and forest floor.
They are smaller, with more animalistic features, longer ponpon antennna, and slightly larger wings (which they love reminding their Wander-Wing cousins) but also have less sexual dimorphy.
Female Woodlings are generally taller then males.

Culture
More wary of the outside world, Woodlings live in small villages hidden both above and below the Twelvewoods.
Despite this, Woodlings do also possess the same curiosity the Wanderlings have, exploring ancient ruins through out the woods and occasionally spying on the working of Gridania.
Woodlings are also much more likely to generate mischief and cause pranks then their wandering cousins.
Woodling cannot commune with the Elementals like moogles or the Padjal but can hear them.
Some Woodling do get inspired to travel from the stories of their cousins and try to travel inconspicuously, often not that far away from home.

Males: About the same height as Female Lalafell
Females: About the same height as Male Lalafel

Naming Convention
Wonder-Wooder names generally are two-to-three syllables long and always contain at least one-to-three of these syllables: Go-, Ko-, Ku-, La-, Ma-, Mo-, Moo-, Na-, No-, Nu-, Po-, or Pu-.
These syllable originally came from the words "Moogle", "Kupo", and "Nut", with some, like Go-, Ko-, and No-, getting distorted over the years.
These syllables can be places anywhere in the name and are said with more emphasis.
Ko- La-, Ma-, and Na- are considered more feminine, Go-, Po-, and Pu- are considered more masculine, and the rest (Ku-, Mo-, Moo-, No-, and Nu-) are gender neutral.
Sibling generally have similar sounding names and share at least one syllable.
Instead of surnames, Wonder-Wooders have titles that reflect who they are and/or what they do.
These titles can be placed either in the front or back of their name.
Titles contain two words, one descriptive and one noun. Sometimes, if a proper word cannot be found do describe the Mogling or their actions or deeds, one will be made up that best sums up the feeling of it.

Name Examples:
~FlarePom Moochi (Pronounced Moo-chi. Moochi could be either gender, while FlarePom could refer to either a mage or a mogling that gets angry often)

~Nalano WhoopsieGrin (Pronounced Na-La-No. Nalano is most likely female, WhoopsieGrin could refer to someone who gets into accendents a lot but takes it in stride or someone who causes trouble for others and enjoys it)

~Pokloku WindWhisper (Pronounced Po-klo-Ku. Pokloku is most likely male, WindWhisper could either refer to someone who is quiet or someone who is fast and stealthy)

~Kokloku WindWhine (Pronounced Ko-klo-Ku. Kokloku is most likely female and just might be a sibling of Pokloku, having Wind in her title helps this claim. WindWhine could refer to her being noisy and/or whiney, thus being the opposite of Pokloku)

I just want to make the distinction between this race and the moogles that are already in XIV more present.
Additionally, the Wonder-Wooders are more based on the XII moogles, while I based the Wander-Wings more on a concept drawing for the Veira I had seen.
