More likely he has played other classes & realized tanks in general are slow & effortless in comparison.

That was absolutely not his point at all, nor our point. DPS classes have more complex rotations because their only focus is to deal damage (outside of dealing with the mechanics). It has nothing to do with the pace and the skill ceiling of a job. DRK for example while being a tank and not having a very complex rotation is one of the fastest-feeling jobs in the game because of both Blood Weapon and the shitton of oGCDs and procs while MTing. It feels as fast as MNK/NIN, sometimes even faster in terms of input per minute. And it's hella fun and there is definitely a "thrill" or "rush" feeling when playing it, even if it's not very complex. Feeling =/= complexity.

Just gonna add on that Dark Knight feels like the least involved job to play. There's much less to think about then any other job, even paladin, imo. Just pop stuff on cool down, and not much else.
I find PLD, especially after its changes, a lot more engrossing.
Thunda_Cat_SMASH, i think the pld feels like the least involved job to play,
I find the dark knight, like a pld with more stuff to do.
Or we don't play the same job maybe ? XD
I played Pld in 2.1, i switch to war in 2.2 because i find Pld very boring, i tryed the 3 tanks in 3.0.
I like the war and the dark. The pld is better he juste have 3 combos now ,but
what i feel with the pld is like he have a gameplay very simple, you can't miss your rotation or be a little late with something exept brain lag on defense Cooldown, it's so simple you just do your rotation blinded, just see if you have shield swipe procc and focus on your defense CD.
yes it's too simple. Dark feel more nervous, and you are checking a little more if your CD is back, you are not only focusing in your defense CD.

Part of the aesthetic issue that I have with the tanks from 2.0 is that the animations for the initial combo moves don't fill the GCD (i.e. fast blade > savage blade). As a result, you end up with short pauses after each swing, making your character look and feel turn-based.
I was initially a bit thrown off by how DRK's animations filled the gcd, but with a near constant stream of oGCD moves in the mix, it's pretty good at creating the illusion of fluid movement.
I think that switching shield swipe to oGCD has helped PLD with this, and I'd like to see the job get more moves like this in the future.
Jim Berry : this mean pld is more simple also, it's what we say in this tread

To each his own.
Before Heavensward, I had both WAR and PLD at Lv50. I leveled PLD first, then WAR. I am more confident as PLD and I feel safer with it, too. As WAR, I died a lot. When I did new content as WAR, I was nervous. As PLD, I have no worries.

is it just me or does flash do so little to get agro compared to the DRK's unleash, my isn't in high level dungeons so i don't know whats it like in level 60 dungeons, but it seems like whenever i play DRK in low level dungeons he can easily get agro by spamming unleash a bunch of times?
