Feel like taking a moment...(FFXI Event)

I actually have to make this post and want to say thank the team for this event. Even if it was so little, nothing really big...It honestly means a lot. I won't lie, seeing all the screenshots from various parts of XI's story brought back a lot of fond memories, trials, trumiphs, frustration, and much more. It was pretty close to even making me tear up just a bit thinking about it.

All in all, the event did a lot. I may go back for the final story that ties everything together. But one thing is for sure, I will be there the day XI comes to an end.

I agree. Seeing that damn serket and dread dragon again brought up some fond memories of my FFXI days, not to mention the robber crabs taking me back to those long Valkrum dunes XP parties of old (before Aby killed off alot of stuff). Fighting back the urge to head back to Vana'diel just cause of the event and the end of support..

Makes me kinda homesick for my old home... *sniffles*

i loved the event, i miss ff11 so much. I hated what SE did with it, and hated what the community started to do, but the game itself was fun and so many goals left undone.

When I saw the screen shots i cried for 5 min. The fate events were fun, seeing all the non ff11 people mass hit the immmune draggon was hilarious as i sat tanking the eye trying to say "spotter first", I advised alkl non ff11 players to look up ff11 2-3 giddues video prior to doing the fate XD (ps that was the giddues dragon) I nearlly died too because I was the only 1 who saw the spotter and ran for it.

They really did a good job, and I hope we see more of Iroha since she seems stuck in eorzea.

Good job SE you did ur first MMO justice with this event.... now do a shantotto part 2 so i can get her minon. -pouts- she's my fav ff11 character.

Vana'diel still has my heart, all it took was the logo when I accepted the quest to make me cry.. not sure if I can make it through it.

So are we not able to do the fates again after completing the quest-line, because I could not access the Shadow Dragon fate at all after turning in my quest.

Iroha saying that nearly made me tear up a bit, along with seeing all the allies and adversaries we made in FFXI. I would have probably unleashed the waterworks if they played Distant Worlds during it. I hated the direction XI went post-Abyssea, but Vana'diel will always be home to me. Even after 12 years.
