Verminion L1 + pad button troubles

I went to do the first tutorial of Verminion today. I was tasked with using L1 + arrow button to select one of my minions, then to use L1 + pad button to perform a special ability.

Problem is, on my PS4 controller I've set L1 + pad button to hide the HUD. So when I pressed it, guess what it did.
That's right. Hid the HUD. And no special ability could be performed. So i thought I'd change that keybind in the settings, but alas there was no access to settings while ingame.

So I got stuck. Figured I'd forfeit the tutorial despite the 100 MGP I payed for it.
But I found no way of doing that. :| So I ended up exiting the whole game to relog in order to quit the Verminion tutorial.

Heh.

Maybe I overlooked something? If not, that's really something that should be looked into.
