I actually took a screenshot and posted the picture because I was pretty sure there was some misunderstanding. Like I said, that thing up there is NOT the darklight armor xD
So it's a glitch? It looks like some creature from hell..;_;

(and sorry for going on about something off-topic, but since there are no PMs in this forum, it's kind of impossible to ask other people about something in any other way^^°)

Two things... First, that image looks like it's one of the Behemoth helms from the FATE turn ins. Second, forum avatars can sometimes be slow to update to the latest class/gear the character is currently wearing so it might not actually be showing the look of the current gear equipped (it may be, though I really think that's one of the Behe helms...).

It's the "medium" one available for non-tank DoW that essentially just looks like a Behemoth head mask. The "heavy" one is a Behemoth plate helm and the "light" one is a Behemoth eye mask.

I didn't have much time yesterday, and only managed to change the look of my character and retainers, pick up every new quest, do some main scenario and unlock the aethernet system. Today I'll try the new dungeons at least and probably finish the MSQ. Edit: oh forgot the seasonal quest, will do that as well. It's going to take me until the weekend to try everything lol. I dunno how some of you guys have managed to do so much so fast.

With very limited time to play yesterday, I only had time to hit up the really important stuff.
So, I went and bought A Knight to Remember and spent most of my playtime setting up my new Haurchefant shrine in my house.
Priorities.

Great day!

Changed my hair to the new long wavy (no bangs) hair and extremely excited it poses far less clipping issues than I thought it would
Ran my first Diadem (DF pug) but still had a fun time - ended up with 12 spoils toward my Pegasus mount
Ran Void Ark three times - got the healer gloves - really liking both the raid itself and the look of the gear
Ran the new dungeons a few times each - they're both good, but I definitely prefer the garden dungeon over Pharos - attempting to get the cool new gear, but sadly I just got gloves and the hat
Bought the Minfilia outfit from the Mog Station, plus the new Rainbow bustle dress, hat and boots

The one big disappointment for me was the new Gold Saucer items. Still no SCH/SMN/AST weapons for purchase, even though every other job has them. The other three items (new bunny suit, succubus horns and the absolutely ridiculous hat with a turkey on it) were major passes. Then I wanted to get the new dances, only to realize they are so completely overpriced at 80,000 each.

I did all the new things. I was a little disappointed with how easy it all was. There's wasn't a single death in my party in either of the new dungeons, or Void Ark. We were all new each time so some death was expected. But all in all I'm impressed with this patch. The beast quests offer some great daily exp, which will make leveling alts less of a chore.

And The Diadem is FANTASTIC!! It has an old school MMO feel to it. My party encountered a star mob on top of this really high pillar, and we couldn't even come close to killing it. It used knockbacks constantly, sending us plummeting to our deaths, or Hysteria where we would just happily walk of the edge to our deaths. I shouted "We need all hands on deck for this mob at <pos>!!! Please help!" And the entire zone came to our aid. But we still couldn't do it. Even with healers down below to raise people who fell, we couldn't get it past 70%. Then someone found another one, the exact same kind, but in a spot where it couldn't push us off an edge. We exacted our revenge on that guy, it was exhilarating!

Started with the msq, stopped almost near the end to go to the Diadem with my FC. That was so much fun. We spawned the dinosaur and everyone died a lot, but we did manage to kill it and get a gold chest. Went through both dungeons. I like both of them, but Pharos was a little boring. Then I finished the MSQ. It was short but good.

I played Lord of Verminion and don't know how I won. I just spammed minions in a few challenges until I overwhelmed the AI.

Did Void Ark, had a massive laugh with other players, cracking jokes and learning mechanics as a raid with no one complaining, one guy (shan't be named) left before the first boss after a wipe (wanted to be kicked, we told him to just take a hike and leave) and we blamed all future wipes on him, shouting "fucking x" and making many lewd jokes on Echidna.
"Don't look at her or you will be stoned"
"But she makes me hard"
"Oh right, carry on then"

Then did the EX dungeons, they seem fun, nothing to write at home about.

Then did me Beast Tribes, might do the Diadem when me FC mates get back from work tonight.
