Selling Materia Gear: How To Find It? Possible Idea! :D

I was talking with my shell, and we came up with an interesting idea. You know how people within the community came up with the idea of selling plus versions of gear by changing the last number, for example:

1000 = Normal
1001 = +1
1002 = +2
1003 = +3

Well when it comes to gear with material in it, why don’t we do something along the lines of the following, just as an example::

1010 = Materia Grade 1
1020 = Materia Grade 2
1030 = Materia Grade 3
1040 = Materia Grade 4

So if I wanted to sell a body piece that had a Grade 4 Materia in it for 100k, I would put 100,040 as the price, showing it’s a grade 4 Materia in that piece of gear.

What do you think? Would make it easier since there is no way to see what has materia and what doesn’t at the moment.

Now that you mention it I may have seen some like that in the MW.

Sounds like a good idea but I still think that the most important is the type of materia attached, not the strength, unless with time everyone converges to the same materia on a said type of gear.

Very true, but if the gear with materia is marked in a way people can find it, they can look at a few pieces instead of looking at every one.

If there are 20 swords up, and only 3 are showing a price with 40 at the end, people can look at those three swords with the grade 4 materia in it, instead of checking all 20 swords.

I love the workaround.

But the game needs to be set up to find this stuff without having players devise special ways to sell their items.

SE needs to fix the search counter.

Yeah if you can browse bazaar and make items' info pop when highlighted, why not in the search window where prices are displayed?

It is a good idea, but the only problem with this is that you won't be able to tell what grade IV materia is on it. It could be something completely worthless like chocobo down IV. We need to just put the name and stats of the materia in binary code at the end of the price, thats really the only workaround.

Yeah I know it won't fix all the problems as too what materia is on it etc... but it will help narrow down the amount of pieces that people have to look at until SE can put in something that will better help us.

I support this idea.

At the very least, it gives people an idea that there is valuable materia attached to an item that is for sale. Then they can scout out to see if the stats are worth it.
