Does it really matter? The amount of xp you could get from 2.0 beast quests was trifling, and a horrible way to level up. 3.0 quests don't seem to be much better, but it's not the end of the world. We're arguing about quests that take longer, yet give less xp than a single fate.

My friend gave up on the Sylphlands quests in ARR because of all the "Don't get seen!" quests, then ran through them in 3.0 when the higher level cap effectively nerfed those quests to the ground.

That is NEVER going to be an option with level-synced quests. If there is a quest that for some reason you just can't do ... it will NEVER get easier for you.

I'll admit I questioned Quest Sync at first, but now I'm glad they did. I hope they apply this to more quests in the future.

Uh, I'll give you an agree, on the mount critique.

However; I don't see how quest sync is bad... like at all. Could you explain what exactly is bad about it? I personally think it is brilliant and I am surprised this type of thing didn't come sooner.

To answer your question, I don't see any reason for quest sync. I've leveled every 2.0 beast tribe faction and did the 2.0 storyline [spoilers incoming] of all the tribes cooperating together. What is the benefit is of syncing down when you could, previously, complete dailies on your 50 and turn them in on a lower level? If the concern was rewards, adjust them for the class you've changed to when you turn it in.

My problem is, the game has become a big sync/repeat-fest. There isn't a point in having a max level with decent gear because:
Going into a dungeon? - ilvl Sync
Going to do dailies? - Quest Sync
Relic - back to old dungeons and FATEs
Gear Upgrades - back to hunts

It's getting to be ridiculous. The only thing I log on for is raid and dailies because the story between rank ups is cute.

Your misconception here is that you're not "syncing-down," instead the quests are syncing to you. Whatever you're at, higher level or lower, the quests scale to you to keep them as a challenge. They do this with item-syncing dungeons as well, which is way better than level-syncing ever was.

Convenience and fun of playing what ever job you want regardless of level 50-60 and having the quest change to match that level? So your argument against quest sync is that it wasn't needed? Am I understanding that correctly? (If so, that seems like a moot point since it is here now, so there is no reason NOT to have it now.)

The rest of what you said doesn't make sense, non of what you brought up is new, the game has been like this for a long time, even before 3.0. It sounds like you are more sick of the game itself. I'm all for ideas for how to improve the monotone more but... I don't see any ideas here.

What exactly do you propose, in place of the current system?

Hey news flash not everything is intended to make things easier. Doing shit at 60 and turning it in at a lower level is pretty much an abuse of the system, you can't possibly think that this is the way side quests were intended to be done.
