Housing Lighting Borderline Useless...

Don't get me wrong, the lighting addition is really nice... but because it deals with the entire house and not floor by floor its useless. If I wanted to make a cozy, dark room with candlelight on one floor I can not do so without making the rest of the house pitch black as well.

Good Idea, bad implementation. Please fix this to work separately on different floors.

The only thing I would do to solve that would be add a bunch of lamps, small lights in the other room.

I had never even considered that the lighting wouldn't be different for each floor until the patch came out and lo and behold. I guess it's neat that they're trying, but I honestly can't see myself ever using this feature, except maybe to tell spooky ghost stories in the FC house.

It says right in the window that lighting effects don't take affect for other people until you finalize your choice by clicking Okay.

Get a smart alec that likes to turn the lights off in the fc house.

it gives me eyestrain because the interior is dark walls, dark floor, no lights, and I can't see a damn thing.

Good grief, can they get nothing right? XD I guess in SE HQ, if you turn a light off in one room, all the lights go out in the entire building!

Thank you for this feature a lot of us asked for SE, options is better than no adjustment what so ever... y'all should be thanking them for even listening if you want them to continue to listen. Breaking the lighting by floor would be nice.

I agree that they should really break it up by floor. I was also surprised to use it, find no slider for each specific floor, then realize it worked as one whole thing. I'm now in the process of finding multiple furnishings to fill a room to make it moderately well lit, which really isn't much different than blocking the lamp with partitions like I used to. Either way, plenty of furnishings I don't want to achieve the look I do want.
