Similar to the Duty Finder, a penalty system is in place for abandoning Lord of Verminion matches. Taking the following actions several times will restrict players from taking part in matches for a set amount of time.
    • Retreating from a match
    • Withdrawing from a match, or letting the time run out on the queue window
The reason that the penalty is also in place for matches against the computer, including the tutorial, is because instances are still being utilized for these matches. Removing this restriction may lead to situations where multiple instances are being utilized which in turn may not allow other players to play during peak hours. Therefore, we have placed this lockout penalty as a preventative measure.

That said, we're continuing to gather your thoughts and feedback to share with the dev. team and will let you know if adjustments are made in the future.

It isn't two hours it's a lock out until reset.

If it's the same as normal duties, can we get a warning about the penalty when we click Retreat in matches? I managed to get locked out for a whole day because I retreated from matches because I didn't want to waste time to lose and I'm pretty sure the Retreat button doesn't have a warning.

~Thank you very much Zhexos for that explanation on the situation with the "Lord of Verminion" Tutorial.

However, if it's merely a technical/instance issue being the reason with time limits, including the Tutorial, why not at least make it free instead of costing us MGP just to fail and not get a good learning experience of how to play the mini-game?

If it was at least free, we could do it over and over again rushing the parts that we DID read and understand and jumping to the parts we didn't get to read or didn't fully understand.~

I think what might be more of an issue is when you are obviously losing and there is no coming back, but you can't GG out like in every other RTS. It just prolongs the inevitable. This really needs a dedicated forfeit option. One that actually lets you accept the loss and move on to the next one.

When you have lag, every action is an adventure.

But why is the lockout so long? Players are being locked out until daily reset. I've never been locked out since I never quit, but many have. I was also curious as to why the tutorial is broken and players are being timed while reading the explanations? Is it also a test to see how fast we can read? That last question was humor. I mean no disrespect.

and you wonder why it's so unpopular. Maybe because no one is able to play it even when they want to because of the lockout?

A leave should count as a loss, no matter if it's a tournament or single player. I don't really think you need to implement much more punishment than that. After all, aren't players just trying to win? Who cares if they win by someone leaving?

I feel like this was something the devs put way too much time into in order to make it needlessly complicated and have no one care about it period. (Like the often compared chocobo races)

The only time I can see this being played is in tournaments, and that's getting wins from friends who don't care when it's dead. (Which seems to be pretty often!) I can see people already going 30 wins and 0 losses... I wonder how they got that...

Okay, so 'server limitations' is the reason for punishing players. Gotcha.

Doesn't seem very popular tbh for various reasons, the ridiculous lockout being one of them.

It's very discouraging and will probably fade from exsistence one month later like Chocobo racing
