I have a secret to tell. From my electrical well. It's a simple message and I'm leaving out the whistles and bells. So the room must listen to me Filibuster vigilantly. My name is blue canary one note* spelled l-i-t-e. My story's infinite Like the Longines Symphonette it doesn't rest- TMBG Birdhouse in your Soul
A huge THANK YOU!!!! For FINALLY selling the Meteor Survivor Polo on the store. AND a huge thanks to my friend who bought it for me while he was at Fan Fest!!! YES I finally have my POLO!!!
My reaction to Thancreds new look was basicly "I want his copy of his outfit... or to take his off... I'm not sure which would be more appealing"
I really liked this MSQ but was sad at how short it was, Krile seems a very interesting character and the Warriors of Darkness seem quite bloodthirsty, they deffo wanted us dead asap lol
I love love love all the references to Ysayle this patch, and I want them to keep them coming!
I think it was Alisaies shoe at the end, I really hope it was and they bring her back and give her more development outside of "side" content. I have a feeling Yda and Papalymo will not be rescued until the ........next expansion. And that they are going to have cameos at the end of every patch.
Some of the dialogue in the Rising Stones after the MQ is very very interesting...I suggest everyone heads there![]()
This would be fresh and it could work, but if this is true, then we might not see a Scions VS Warriors of Darkness battle, atleast not how I envisioned. I think they will come back next patch and as time goes on, Yda and Papalymo will open up to us and tell us more about what they were doing. Or..... What if they are not at Ala Mhigo, but at a small settlement near Uld dah, a town that has been taken by the Empire. We the players wont notice anything, because there has not been any changes, but lorewise it could be that the Empire took some land between patch 2.55 and patch 3.0?
BTW, Thancred looks A LOT like Sasuke from Naruto, post manga-ending. I mean, the covered eye, the ragged clothes...
Gotta say I'm in agreement on this point.
I don't think he's even here to defeat us; Elidibus just needs him on the board to keep our influence in check. We'll no doubt have a showdown trial boss fight with them at some point and then we'll end up working together to wipe out the Ascians.
Not an awful lot happened in this patch and yet we now know the general heading of all of the major plot threads. I also think there's a lot of merit to the speculation that we're going to end up in Ala'Mhigo before this is all over.
As soon as we discovered that Heavensward would take place in Ishgard, I immediatly thought 4.0 could lead us to Ala'Mhigo.
I'm more and more convinced now.
I can even imagine something like saving Minfilia there.
I'm also curious on when we will have to fight Nidhogg, as this will obviously be one of 3.X major battle.
I can imagine him attacking Ishgard, leading to people hating dragons again. (One guy hinted at this kind of event at the end of 3.1 in my opinion)
And then the Empires come to kill him, and Ishgardians praise the Empire, so we have to escape, and look for Minfilia to unite people.
That would be ridiculous, but possible...
The future is soooo promising ! With many characters coming back !
The 3.1 MSQ was a lot of setup and very little payoff. I'm eager to see where the events go and what the eventual payoff will be, but I felt like it was a bit too much build up and left us on a cliffhanger.
It was a lot like 3.1 in that regard, which was also a "well the x.0 main quest is over, now we need to deal with the immediate fallout and set up the rest of the content cycle". I was personally hoping for a little more action out the gate myself, but ultimately I was satisfied. That was a clever way of re-using the Vault!
Always remember, please be careful.
It also showed 'evil' is more complex than just 'a dark lord who only seeks to bring evil to the world' or something like that. There's always a reason, cause, misguided belief or in some cases a justifiable goal. The "classic" Final Fantasy ending is never a total victory. Yes, you defeated this world destroying evil, but evil itself is an eternal part of humanity, no different from love, or hope. It's not a condemnation of human weakness, just a more philosophical approach to the "happily ever after" endings that were typical of the genre before those crazy mavericks over at Square decided to show that a game's story could be more than just the "hero defeats the dark lord" routine that made Dragon Quest so popular. There's no "ever," just a "happily after."
