    LoV

Here is my review of the new Lords of Vermillion.

Alrighty, so the LoV play like a really old warcraft style map movement where you use wasd to move the map around, drag and drop left click to select your minions, and right click for actions.

Pros: Fresh take and cute idea that allows your cute and cuddly minions to engage in a blood bath of epic proportions.

A slew of minions all with a great deal of abilities that you can work a strategy around.

Cons: No easy way to tell what type of minions you're facing off against without either having the same minion in your crossbar, or memorizing the gazillion minions.

No way to group the minions together easily, aka, press 1 to group w/e minions together to use their special.

The need to have 4 minions to even attempt to use your special.

The hidden effects that don't (unless I've missed it some place) say what. An example is the mammets.

So there you have it, my first impression of my first few games. Honestly, after playing a couple rounds, I just spammed the mammets and sent my horde to the crystals. It was so fast, there was little to no opposition, and each round lasted like 45 seconds. Do to the slow movement of the camera around the map, the pain of trying to select certain minions to get their special off, and the required 4 units needed to even attempt the special, and the cap of 240 points, the strategy was very clear. There is very little room to counter, the units don't chase other units, which is a pain when the opposition decides to run back and forth, and the speed of the game is dead slow for so many reasons. I hope this doesn't die off like Chocobo racing did, but I hope they make some slight changes to make this mini game a bit more engaging.
