Ifrit's Horn + Undersized Party; How does this work?

Does anyone know if the item Ifrit's Horn is obtainable with the Undersized Party setting?

One of the conditions listed under undersized party is: "Defeating enemies will yield no EXP or items."

If ifrit's horn drops directly into your inventory does that make it impossible to obtain? The only primals that had the items switched to the treasure chests are extremes.

Or did the horn always drop inside the chest after defeating ifrit?



TY all for your replies I would love to know since Ifrit's Horn costs 1million on my server now. I want to make the minion but i'm not paying that. If I can solo ifrit hard I would love to just farm my own horn to make the new minion.

With the release of todays patch, all materials dropped from primals i.e Ifrits Horn have since been moved to the chest - If you are lucky enough to get one to "drop" it will now be in the treasure chest once you defeat the primal

"[2.0] Items that dropped directly from boss enemies will now drop from treasure boxes in the following duties:

The Bowl of Embers (Extreme) / The Howling Eye (Extreme) / The Navel (Extreme) / Thornmarch (Extreme) / The Whorleater (Extreme) / The Striking Tree (Extreme) / Akh Afah Amphitheatre (Extreme) "

Basically, because they only changed the items to put in the chest in the Extremes you will need to do Ifrit Extreme in order to try and obtain the Hard Mode item as the Extreme's may drop both items.

I managed to solo ifrit hard in 15 minutes that's why i was asking. I'm not after the inferno horn or whatever the extreme one is called. I need the hard mode item for the wind up ifrit minion

Mind if I ask which class you used? I soloed him with an ilvl 187 SMN but I'm caster rusty af so I prolly took a bit more of time.

If it drops from a chest, undersized can be done.

Hate to double post but wanted to ask, has anyone seen the items drop in the chests yet? I have seen the MB explode with extra (yet they still asking insane price) so I assume so but is it a roll item like the Primal gear or pony or is it just randomly given to a player?

I ask mostly cus I am joining farms simply in exchange for the horn (as I dont need the pony), want to make sure I am not wasting time joining. xD

Saw the whisker in a chest in mog ex, its rolled on like any other chest item
