    So about the new 2.0 mounts that can now fly

    Was the quest required to make them fly, or are they able to fly right away? Not that this affects me because I already completed it. I was just curious.

    You will need to still unlock flight in order to fly with the newly added flying mounts.

    I am puzzled with the confusion here.

    I'm puzzled too. I'm aware of having to unlock currents before being able to fly, but that's not what this is about. It's asking if those mounts were able to fly without having to complete "I Believe I Can Fly" which is the same quest to make your company chocobo and the fat chocobo fly.

    I'd like to assume I believe I can Fly is linked to the old mounts as well.

    I Believe I Can Fly is required for the Fat Chocobo mount so I'd be willing to put gil on it being required for the newly airborne mounts as well.

    Honestly, I don’t know. I'm assuming the answer is no as I have just re-read the patch notes and there is nothing mentioned about completing the quest "I believe I can Fly" in order to enable old mounts to fly.

    I was able to login for a few minutes this morning and all the mounts listed in the patch notes I was able to fly with no issues.

    Probably because you already completed the quest, which puts us no where closer to an answer to the question.
