AOE

I would like to see a button assigned for AOE so i can easily click it on and off debending on the situation, sometimes random mobs just happen to wander withing the AOE area. I imagine it is easy for ppl using keyboard and mouse to play, but I use controller and it would make sense that I could assign it to one of the buttons on it

Yeah hit the button you use for emotes on your controller to toggle AOE on/off, I only learnt this recently too ^^

It seems like certain mobs are attracted by magic though, or is that just me? Cause I noticed when I'm in any area with any form of goat, they always flock to me. (I'm a conjurer, always using healing spells). But this can get very annoying if I decide to do an offensive AOE spell since I don't disable AOE. Meaning I sometimes end up hitting 4 goats. Simply cause they wandered into the area while I cast.
Or could it be they are just drawn to players in general? Cause I usually play with my boyfriend in a party, and they are always surrounding me, while he doesn't have a single one around him.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

When was the last time you played XIV? They fixed this 2 patches ago. And it's not that bad, battle doesn't last long enough to really use AoE to begin with, especially in behest and group leves

Um the last time I played was the last day the game was up?
If it hadn't happened last time I played, I wouldn't have bothered posting it after the patches release....
