    St. Mocianne's Arvboretum Boss Notes

Dungeon drops I185 gear lol. Law gear now useless.

    1. Rose Garden
    - Extremely Bad Breath - Rotating Bad breath cone attack, clockwise. Does the usual debuffs. She rotates only when the small marlboros are out.
    - Mini Marlboros - untargettable adds, casts small cone bad breath, easily dodgeable.

Will update as we finish more bosses.

    2. Queen Hark
    - Boss is almost like the second boss of Dzemael Darkgold. Summons untargettable adds in the periphery that tosses aoes and DD at the party. Most are linear aoes and easy to avoid. Otherwise standard boss fare.

    3. Belladonna (Forgot some of the boss attack names lol)
Same as last 2 bosses, summons untargettable adds. Adds have an aoe around them that does magic resistance debuff. Avoid as the boss is magic damage based.
    - Frond Fatale - AOE mass Seduce with no floor marker. Can be dodged if you get far enough.
    - Petal - Targetted AOE around each character. Avoid stacking to minimize damage.
    - Atropine.. Spore? - AOE attack with the safe area just around melee range of the boss. Similar to chimera. Get close to avoid.
    - Soul..."something" - Room AOE. AFAIK undodgeable but low damage.

Frond Fatale is a Gaze attack. It can be dodged by looking away.

Soul Siphon is weak on its own, but it deals magic damage. This wouldn't be a problem, but getting hit by Belladonna's adds inflicts you with Magic Vul. Up. He normally uses it after summoning a second set of adds that overlap with the first.

Is this one opened through Storyline? Or is it also optional and available right away?

Also, does expert only open after both dungeons have been completed once? Or is it available once both dungeons are available?

Head to the Dravanian Hinterlands and there's a quest marker. It leads to this dungeon. No it's not storyline and yes you need to finish it once along with Pharos Sirius HM to access Expert Roulette again.

What exactly about this is "lol"?
You need ilvl170 to enter the dungeon and therefor, Law is already useless to your Main Job.

    @Dungeon
It is a good looking and fun Dungeon. I like that one already much more than the old Expert Dungeons.

Seems like rotation switches between clockwise > counter clockwise > clockwise.

    2. Queen Hark

Actually it is a little more complicated. You have to watch for the bees, and when they line up in the cross formation, run to the side between them. They attack all at once and can instantly kill is you have lower hp. In the second half of the fight everyone also gets quite a lot of damage.

    3. Belladonna
    Frond Fatale
As AI_wass mentioned, you can dodge it by turning away. This skill is used quite often. If you get confused, it will make you run to magic resistance debuff circle, so watch out.

    Question for Healers:

How do you handle the bees? Specifically the bee swarm right before the Hive Queen boss fight where you have to burn down the Honeycomb wall?

I run the new dungeons all the time and I;m always a little worried when i get Arvboretum because of the bees. Soemtimes we pull through and beat them all and usually somebody (tank) dies from the bee stings. sometimes the groups prefer to burn down the honeyomb and skip the bees?

What the ideal way to handle this?

Ideal is what you can handle.
You don't HAVE to burn down the honeycomb. You can attack it until the bees spawn, kill the adds, then keep attacking the honeycomb again until the next adds spawn, kill them again and so on. They spawn based on % HP of the honeycomb, not based on how much time has passed, so if you regulary have tanks dying to the bees, ask you group beforehand to please kill the bees before they proceed to destroy the wall.

If you feel comfortable to burn the wall down though, there are a few things I do to handle it. First, and most importantly, I make sure to NOT use Essential Dignity/Lustrate until the sting has hit, as well as keep the tank close to full HP all the time. A bit of overhealing is fine there Because otherwise the sting will kill the tank instantly, or if he survives with a few hundred HP and I don't have Essential Dignity ready, he'll die from the other adds hitting him with their normal attacks while I'm still casting a normal heal.
Something else I do is keep the first bee that appeared in focus target. When I see it casting Final Sting, I use Celestial Opposition and pray to the stars that no stupid DPS already made it immune to stuns.

With this, I usually have no trouble keeping everyone alive until the wall is down and everyone can jump into the boss room
