Save spoilers and the overload of information for later. Maybe the weekend at least.
I was spoiled while reading forums at work.... Feelsbadman.

Forums I get, sorta. It's a place for general communication. People should probably hide their actual topic under the highlights and instead work spoiler tags into the titles. But hell, like an hour into the patch someone in my FC started spouting out like an idiot shit he was seeing in the storyline. It wasn't anything super impactful, but now, coming to that point in the story any reaction I might have had is now soiled but his loud mouth. Even the smallest reactions can flub an experience.
Honestly I'm not bothered by spoilers. I mean, people play a game they like they get excited and want to share. It's only natural. What bothers me is the extreme rage that seems to follow, targeting the spoilers like they just killed their pet of 5 years... I guess I'll never understand it. But then I tend to watch movie reviews of movies I've yet to see and, if I like the review, go to see the movie anyway even if I do know the gist of the movie before seeing it.
People are free to share and discuss the story. It's just that when they do, it's a matter of courtesy that they should set such discussion behind spoiler tags. That way, other players can choose whether they want to see that discussion or avoid it. The problem is only when spoilers occur in the actual title of threads, or happen (without HB tags) in threads which you wouldn't guess from their title would contain such spoilers.

true. But some people don't like spoilers and are not as fast as other people.Honestly I'm not bothered by spoilers. I mean, people play a game they like they get excited and want to share. I usually give a grace period of 2 weeks for big stories and 1 week for short stories before I start talking about it in the forums.
If not in a specifically marked spoiler thread.
Welcome to the age of the Internet. I guarantee you by 9pm tonight we'll be seeing the "MUST HAVE CLEAR" and "MUST HAVE WATCHED A VIDEO" in the PF for every single thing in 3.1.
I can see this. The 'hardcore raiders' especially will expect everyone to have burned through the whole patch and be just like them, waiting for the next one...
