Why aren't people using the search function for the forums? I thought that was common knowledge and practice by now that before you start a new thread, you run a search to see if it's already started.

Perhaps some people are ignorant, lazy, or maybe they think their voice needs to be heard specifically at the top of the thread. I don't know. But these forums are a disgrace and I wish more people would help maintain a more organized forum discussion, not just for ourselves, but for the developers to look through.

We have the same exact things being said, or highly related material being discussed in multiple threads. Even the recent earthquake has people generated a dozen "unique" threads all related to this one thing.

Forum moderators and participants in other communities usually speak out and minimize this from happening but it's out of control here.

It's not hard at all to look up something you want to talk about that's probably already being talked about somewhere. And if you're attention starved and you need everyone to read your words, write a blog, a twitter, a facebook status somewhere else please. Stop making a mess of things here.

And Wynn, I expected better from Besaid. This is about using the forum search to find multiple threads of the same subject. (Obviously, some people could use a reminder.) Not what can be considered useless posts. If you're not doing it, I see no reason for you to be snide about it.

Sorry, not trying to knock you. Just saying, you know as well as I do that people who don't search forums aren't going to read this thread. They wouldn't do as you asked even if they did, so why add to the mountain of spam threads by creating this one?

Trying to do the moderators job for them I guess without saying this in every single thread. They're far too laid back imo.


It's like walking around in a party and every group of people you walk up to, you see the same people talking about the same things in the other group you last visited, just someone different starting the conversation.

I guess I'm just used to other forums being more organized and the participants having a little more sense.

why on earth would you want to do someones job for them? if they want things messy like it is, who are you to try to sort it out? besides if things get too out of hand i am MORE then sure they'll fix it on their own accord. So just sit back and let THEM do THEIR jobs.

HAHAHA!!! i like how you worded that, but even so i don't really think they are going to really "organize" anything yet, but i'm sure when they do they'll says "screw the cops, send in the SWAT TEAM!"

I agree, Draven. Unfortunately, every forum on the net is like this. That is why moderators exist in the first place. Someone has to clean up the mess the general population leaves behind in its wake.
