Inspire some exterior designs?

They are all nice examples!!.... but far too similar.

We share the ability to use the exact furniture/decorations. Not one thing is unique or player designed. We need the ability to build unique furnishings , exterior/interior designs of our own design, like some other mmos do.

THEN I would honestly love to see other peoples creations. Players are highly creative if given the chance!

As it stands now all homes look the same to me...placement of the same items is the only difference. It is just too basic SE and not creative at all

I've seen a large variation of yard designs and interesting combinations since I've started my server link shell so I'm hoping I'd find some more via forums

You have the same reply throughout the housing section, it's not offering anything to the conversation, imo. If I posted the same pictures of items I wanted in multiple housing threads for months, it doesn't add anything. Just add it to your signature if you want it seen, it would save you the time of typing it over and over (or pasting it over and over).

That being said, given the furnishings provided, people have come up with many different ideas. That's the creative part. Some people just amass "trophy" furnishings and display those, some people have an idea and implement it with available furnishings. There's creativity in that. I won the first Mog House decorating contest in FFXI, my FFXIV house is beautiful and I keep it locked and don't post pictures just in case there's a decorating contest in this game. In FFXI, the situation was the same, no player-created furnishings, just ideas and placement to evoke things that otherwise were not there before. It's the difference between "Wow, you made that? It looks amazing" and "Whoa, I didn't even know that could be done, it looks amazing!"

I'm all for more housing features, but the existing system allows for a lot of creativity while still looking like a Final Fantasy game.
