Typically I only use Spear if Shuffle is on cooldown, but if I must then I prefer to throw it to a SMN or SCH since there's a good chance it will effect their next Aetherflow cooldown given how often it's used. It is still probably my least favorite card in the deck, though.

I like the Spear a lot because I can RR it to double the next card I use. That's always useful.

Do not underestimate how lovely watching gravity crash on your enemies is. It is a very satisfying spell effect and the number one reason odd as it may be why I went astro this time round over my old main of years.

Gravity is 52 and I'm leveling through the 50 roulette only.....

This means that you'd only get guaranteed benefits on a Bard if it's an Extended Spear, and only for Repelling Shot and Blunt Arrow. I was thinking Misery's End and Bloodletter/RoD would be affected, but they are weapon skills, as well.

I think Misery's End will be affected, because it's an off-GCD that isn't affected by Attack Speed, but it's also situational since it can only be used on the last part of any encounter. Your best bet is using the card on a NIN, MCH or SMN. I don't have any of those in my group, sadly, so I end up using Royal Road for the Spears I get, which is good.
