Learning how to properly play AST

Yeah, thinking about it, I think the lack of Holy/Shadow Flare is what's hurting me the most.. I'm more of a hybrid dps-healer, so I tend to be very aggressive with cleric stance. No CC to help mitigate damage to the tank on level 50 AST. Sitting back and watching my buffs on the other party members really isn't satisfying for me..

Do not underestimate how lovely watching gravity crash on your enemies is. It is a very satisfying spell effect and the number one reason odd as it may be why I went astro this time round over my old main of years.

Gravity is beautiful and strong needless to say...
But it burn your mp...
And it's a pain to aim to really effective ! (Just like Blm flare or smn akh morn)

So you're basically saying that if you burn a 60s cooldown and a powerful Royal Road buff (which requires a previous Draw) you can get 6s reduction in another Draw? Smart.

You can also pop Blood for Blood as a BRD during Cascade in A3S while you're weakened and just missed a Deployed Adlo. It's a way of increasing your DPS output by 10% 2 seconds while losing 100% of your DPS for more than that. If you're going to give advice on how you can use something, it's pointless to show combos that make you lose more than what you get.

I don't think it will. The Spear only works with cooldowns that were activated while having the card on; using the Spear on yourself will do nothing for the Draw skill because you already activated it.

Someone said that if you don't know what to do with a Spear you can just use it on yourself to reduce Draw's recast. No one said anything about using a Spear you Spread.

My reply was intended to be a confirmation of your statement "I don't think it will." without being as short as "It won't." It also added that if someone really wanted to they could reduce the cooldown of Draw by spreading Spear and then using it on themselves. Is it advisable? No. The Spear could be put to better use on the tank or DPS so that their oGCD are back up sooner (as was stated earlier on in the thread). But, if you're bored on AST and running through dungeons with your friends who don't mind a little shenanigans, why not?
