I suppose it depends on whether chest drops are locked out like that. If they are, that means someone's going to have to take the hit for the team and lose out on the potential best armor options in the game in order to meet gathering goals.They're not getting shafted if they don't get rewards from killing the monsters, any more than the people killing the monsters are getting shafted from the gathered items only landing in the inventory of the person gathering them. Everyone will get whatever the reward is from completing the goals, plus the rewards suited to the specific actions they did towards meeting those goals. I see nothing unfair about that arrangement
