Were you here at launch? We used to have Castrum Meridianum parties with 4/8 players AFK leeching at the entrance.

A few rare unfair vote kicks are 100x better than almost every party formed via the DF being unable to do anything because half of its members are leeching.

Except you don't everyone working to accomplish stuff in Diadem. Presumably, anyway. Otherwise the gathering aspect is kinda pointless.

Also 2 hour lockout is 4x worse than it is anywhere else in the game. Too extreme to allow potential "trolls" to have that kind of power over another player.

As a matter of fact i was and i meant for this content only seeing as the only other option would be to allow people to votekick which would cause a whole different set of issues.

Because not everyone has 23 friends available at all times? or a FC capable of assembling a full alliance.

They said even if you queue as an alliance, each party is potentially sent to different starting areas, and functions as separate parties inside. May be a mistranslation though.

I do wonder how the Ishgard queue system will work though. Does that mean if you can't pull together 8 people, you might be waiting some time to get in? I kinda just want to go in solo (or duo) at first and explore around/try out gathering.. take my time. I also would rather not deal with random strangers in party chat for exploration content. I sometimes disable shouts for that reason..
