Saint Shiva's Vigil: A community call to action.

Some of you may have seen my post on reddit.

I'm going to make this as spoiler free as possible, but the lyrics of DragonSong and the story of St. Shiva and Hraesvelgr were very moving to me.

So I wanted to appeal to the community for us to come together and select a feast day for St. Shiva. Similar to Catholic Feast Days for saints. Why? Because the feels.

Okay, according to the Eorzean Calendar, there are two months ruled by the element Ice, "January" which is ruled by Halone, and "February" which is ruled by Menphina.
Irl, February first is Imbloc, which is St. Brigit's Feast Day, and represents renewal and the ending of winter.

So my suggestion is this, the eve of Janaury 31 is St. Shiva's Vigil- a time to remember and honor the sacrifice that Shiva made to reconcile man and dragon.

It would take place at the statue of Shiva at The Churning Mist 9,36

I know this is kind of silly, but I really want this to catch on the be sent up to the developers...

Being a community driven event, it will only materialize through each individual person taking a genuine interest in seeing it happen.

To visualize what it will be like, imagine the Churning Mists at night, players gathered around a statue of Shiva using the Wind-up Sun Minion, it'd look like a bunch of candles.

I'm from Adamantoise, so once January hits, and through the holidays, I'll advertise on my server. Shiva and by extension Iceheart are my favorite characters from HW, so I'd like to see more stuff about them

That's the spirit! This is the very thing that is needed to help an event take off!

I was thinking that a subtle show of respect for the day could be to equip True Ice or Diamond weapons!

Its not like she woke up one day and said hey I'm gona tell my lover who is a dragon to eat me. For all we know she was dying any way and since dragons live for a long time she wanted to still be with him. Ofcorse he didn't want to do it. Only after she pleaded with him did he do it and in no way was it easy on him.

This is pretty much why the fighting stopped the elzens wer dumb struck that one of their own would care so much for what they saw as beasts ask for this. And the dragons so bewildered that one of their own would care for their enemy so much as to fulfill such a request when he didn't want to in the first place.

So pretty much what happend peoples and dragons jaws hit the floor and shattered once they heared the story. They stopped fighting long enough to realize that the reason why their fighting is pretty stupid if this dragon loved her enough to make him miserable for the rest of his life by granting her request to kill her.
