I call it a freak coincidence. 99% of the NPCs use the same gear and character designs the player uses, so it wouldn't be a stretch here that this NPC is also one of those. Even then, I'd doubt he'd have any involvement for the Void Ark because it doesn't lie with his interests.

I'm damn near positive that's Ilberd.

Uh, considering a friend of mine made his character exactly like Ilberd per accident (it was his first char when he freshly started the game), I think it could also be just coincidence^^'

If he is Ilberd, then he is not gonna have a big role on 4.0 as everyone expect he will have.

Ilberd has a scar over his right eye, which I think travels far enough up his forehead that is should be visible beyond those googles... Which isn't... Also think Ilberd has a darker skin tone and white hair, where as this guy seems to have more blondish hair, though that could just be the lighting...

there's a chance, but then again ilberd has a scar that was quite visible...and wasn't blonde from what i recall.

I'm joining the 'not him' crowd. Besides, its too soon in 3.x to bring out the plot driver for 4.x, isn't it? Assuming what we all assume about 4 is true.

Ilberd is one of our major links to Ala Mhigo, I dont think its him. The Hyur has blond hair is not as dark as Ilberd.

He appears to be smaller in the cutscenes where he stands besides other characters, too, more like a midlander than highlander as Ilberd.
