The Greystone Bastard (naming lore query)

Maybe he was a Fortemps until his death, but in death, "Greystone," became a posthumously awarded surname, since he -is- a bastard and not a true Fortemps? Kind of like a, "For extraordinary service to the Kingdom, I hereby grant you and all your descendants through the male line the name of <insert name here>," sort of thing? I imagine for a Bastard to get their own surname might be something of an acknowledgement of moving beyond that status in society and becoming a man who's honor is not impugned by the antics of their fore bearer.

So, here's a neat fact I've just discovered about our favorite bastard. I don't know if this is new, but I've never seen it before 3.1 and I've visited a few times.

It is new. I posted a screenshot yesterday in another thread, but it went unnoticed, lol.
But, yeah, didn't happen before and made me quite sad. Especially since he talks to you directly, too.

I thought it was just a bastard nickname at first, but he's not the only one;







No clue if there's more with these kind of 'last names', but from the looks of it I'd assume so? Maybe it's more of a title? Warname? (Since, so far -besides on the Haurchefant minion- I've only really seen these kind of names when they enter combat.. Not that I've been actively searching either, but still.)
