    Oh no, someone's actually paying attention to the stuff I write on here! {/panic}

    I can't fathom why they went with the 1 yield decision still. Potions are consumed at least three times as quickly as food...

    But as long as I can actually use my ALC for something that isn't level 50 armor augmentations and red scrips, I'll be much happier.

    Sorry but like in another thread. If that new ingot is a specialist recipes. It will throw stuff out of whack. I use to be optimistic with SE but been made a fool too much to be now. Trust me I hope I'm wrong but the more I see the more this going to be bad.

    Speaking of the devil... It would explain why the mats for the gear seem much more accesible. It would explain why the gear is 5 ilevels above the other two star gear.

    OR they simply want to push the diadem explorations.

    I guess we'll see tomorrow. I would laugh really hard if all those recipes were specialist only.

    I think they realized the big mistake they did with 2 star recipes. As I thought, 3.1 will just be a transition patch to allow crafters to gear up, while introducing some new recipes that are not really important but still might stimulate the economy a little.

    If I'm right, 3.2 will be a second golden era for crafters.

    Patch notes and new gear/items appear to be more of a large scale trial fix to 3.0 issues. SE can try before they buy for 3.2 crafting, raids, ect. Like or don't like parts of 3.1? Send SE your input, see if they are listening on what direction they will move forward with 3.2 and beyond. In the interviews Yoshi did, they have a soft direction going into 3.1. After 3.0 they are unsure of player feed back and most likely don't want to firm up 3.2 until they get player feed back in 3.1. If you like something, say something. If something doesn't work, explain why it is a bad system. I believe the more positive/negative feed back they receive in this patch, it will help them firm up the direction of patches in the future. If you don't think they are listening with the red scrip favors, They heard us, they nerfed it down to from the worst idea ever to a horrid grind to be hated, to 3.1 where it appears to have been nerfed all the way down. It may not look like it week one but the effect on the market will add up over time. As for the record specialist recipes, they are the next dumbest crafting idea they are working on. SE should just leave it open for all to craft. I will certainly send them my day one of patch letter, "this was and still is a dumb idea". At the same time I will be an omni specialist day one as they gave us enough warning this really bad idea was coming and we could prepare for this. Leveling alts to beat the system is not much fun and a good reason to drop the system cause you can work around it if you want.

    Still 1 potion per craft, still no use for ALC specialist crafting.

    By the 12 twelve why do I have the feeling ALL the new recipes are specialist recipes.-_- Think about it. The notes didn't say there was a new book grind. Also these recipes have easier mats so the casual people have a chance to craft them. If they are all specialist recipes that's probably why they were not differentiated from normal and specialist crafts. This does not look good...

    As long as specialist recipes are about glamour and furnishing I'm ok with that. It's right to allow for a bit of differentiation among crafters, it's just a way to alleviate competition and right now on more crafting oriented worlds competition is just too fierce.

    Well, lets say, if all those recipes for Cloud Cloth, Titanium Alloy Ingot, Pterodactyl Leather and the gear itself are specialist recipes, what will happen?
    Then, it'll greatly benefit FCs who has multiple omni-crafters specializing in different classes. Or, perhaps omni-crafters from different FCs will start working together!
    Why am I having this gut feeling that this "specialization" is going to end up with marketboard manipulation anyway? ... not by an individual, but by a gang... LOL

    This is one potential effect I'm looking forward to. My FC has an established omnicrafter that's been there a lot longer than I have, and while it's ultimately small potatoes, no one ever asks me to make anything. It'll be nice to feel like my crafts are more valuable to the FC.

    I just hope they don't go overboard with the number of specialist recipes. If they go too far it's going to frustrate a lot of folks, I think.
