    PSA: Market Boards=/=Costco

You don't always have to sell in bulk. Sometimes your stuff moves faster if you split quantities.

The other day I bought HQ food for a CUL quest. There were a bunch of x99, but a fair number of 3-packs. I bought a 3-pack, turned 1 in, and sold the other 2 separately slightly increasing the unit price. They were both sold within a day. Figured they would since it's a quest turn-in.

But listing 5x99 stacks in 10s or 5s takes forever, why would I do that when stacks of 99s sell in less than 24 hours anyway?

Might sell more of them more quickly, who knows.

I know I never buy big stacks. I either look for the smallest stack, or wait for there to be a smaller stack. It's annoying to have to buy 50+ when I only need 1-3, then to have to turn around and resell and hope I make back the money I just effectively wasted.

It just takes some discretion with how much in a stack you should put up. If you see an overabundance of x99, split up your stacks and sill some small and mid-size stacks. I don't even mind paying a higher unit price.

I'm in no real hurry, but it depends on the item I guess. If it's glamour prisms, then yeah, don't bother selling them in large stacks, but if it's Fleece, Dragon Skins, Gigantoad Skins or whatever else, I usually sell them in the largest stack possible.

I never list things in stacks bigger than 5 for prisms (usually individually, though), 1 for quest turn ins, and 25 for crafting mats(with a few stacks at 10 as well). I too hate having to buy 99 of an item when I only need 5-10. It's annoying.

psa: articicially increasing the stock by selling in small stacks does buyers a diservice unless they need stuff in small quanity.
personbally SE shoulda just set the MB up similar to the ff11 AH as in you had a singles catagory and a stack catagory. so ppl can pick which they wanted.
(and we had less slots in ff11 then we do here)

Unless it's a particularly low priced item, (less than 50 gil per item that I'm just using as padding for my sell item list), I almost always list items in stacks of 1, or sometimes 2-3 if I know it's an item that is needed for daily turn ins. The ONLY time I buy bulk items is cheap materials that I'm using for quick synthesis. Otherwise I either find a single or small stack, or I wait and get it another time/somewhere else.....
