Clearly people that like cheese danishes trigger some sort of odd overreaction from her.
Or perhaps it's people that don't like cheese danishes.
Players don't make content useless. Vertical progression does.

No point in doing hard content when gear on it will be replaced every 3-4 months and the "glamour" gear will be made easier to get.

Sadly this is true. Also, look at the community rep responses we get. All of it is for glamour or QoL, none of it is ever replies to threads like these or about adding interesting stats on armor or what is wrong with end game...

The difference between the EX and Alex at this moment is that Alex is meant to be easy and a form of gear upgrading outside of Eso and Law.
Ravana EX still offers something of value and that is it's 190 weapon, which at this moment unless you fancy waiting every 3-2 weeks to get a iLV200 ESO weapon then Ravana EX is currently your 2nd best choice of a getting a weapon and that's motivation enough for people to farm Ravana.
Bismark on the other hand, well yeah the only reason why people would do him is for glamor or to unlock Ravana.
But come by 3.1 the only reason why people would do either of these is for the completionist in them.
Also back on Alex, for the harder version there is better rewards.

Bismark getting put in the DF next patch so you can just queue up for it.It can be frustrating trying to find groups to do things that aren't even 'hardcore.' (Bismark-ex is not hardcore but trying to find a PF to do it is annoying). A lot of people won't even bother attempting something unless there are rewards for it. So why not give people rewards?
I'm not necessarily talking about gear treadmill but lets get creative. Maybe tomes of EXP that can level an alt in one go. New exclusive glamour gear for x6 months. Currency to buy post season awards. Mount food that makes it go faster for 1x hour.
The easier it is to get players to do non-face roll content, the better trained the server will be and more ready to tackle harder content.
Bottom line is that Bismark-ex and Ravena-ex ARE harder content than Alexander - shouldn't there be some better awards for it?

Putting more rewards into those now would just result in people screaming "stop forcing us to run outdated content"... like have happened every time they have tried to revitalize something that's fallen out of fashion.
Probably ex rav has less than 20% of the population clearing it at this point. (We only have 50% who cleared Alex normal!)

What hardcore MMOs are there? I've yet to ever see one.
I guess those games where you do nothing but grind all the time might be "hardcore"? I played "aion" though, it just got old pretty quick. Maybe they can make a "hardcore" version of this game where you get xp like 100x slower and can spend three weeks in satasha normal trying to level. That would be a hardcore MMO.
I'm not sure what anyone is asking when they say they want this game to be harder. Didn't the live letter say that only half of the player base beat alexander normal (correct me if I'm wrong)? I don't believe anyone considers alexander normal hardcore. I think SE probably had the difficulty level set fairly appropriate for the players in the majority. People that want a harder game play something else.
Personally I'd like some more challenges too if that's what this thread is about. Having that mount in a4s was a good start. It's fairly unusual of SE to put some vanity item at the end of content that the masses won't ever complete. A step in the right direction I guess. I suppose you could count the fenrir mount in there too (though I'm not sure how difficult people consider the gold saucer).

I do agree, one of my biggest pet peeve is how easily they "destroy" old content and render them completely useless. It literally kills half the game content and all the hard works that the team put together went down to the toilet. SE should really update those level 50 endgame and trials and add relevant crafting materials, airship materials, minions, token, esoteric currency, and maybe some allied and centurio seals. All of those are "valid contents" designed to waste our time just like the "newer and shiniest" contents are. Bring them all up to date with the rewards so we have OPTIONS and variety, yes, even if that means re-doing old contents.

No, players render content useless. Before there was Roulette people trying to get their first runs of Sastasha and Toto-Rak would often sit for over half an hour in queues cause they were the only ones actually queued for them. It's that very reason we have Roulettes now! But there's still long queues even with Roulette so little wonder they ease the difficulty of the older content if noone's running them. They've done everything they can without imbalancing the game to get people to run old content and it's not worked anywhere near as well as people seem to want to believe.
