Mount ideas

Hello, Was just flying around Hinterlands, then a thought crossed my mind.
Wouldn't it be cool to have your very own set of wings to fly around with, lets say like a mount. When you "mount" you grow wings like, Dragon wings, Butterfly wings, or what ever you could think of.

On that note, what are some ideas for mounts that you could come up with?

I know its been requested before and I honestly think the closest we will get myself is one of the goblins tinkering with those wing sets some mobs use and altering it for personal use....or I guess someone coming up with a "transformation" potion that acts as a mount.

I say that would be pretty cool. I see myself going whoosh and fwoosh quite a bit.

As for what really came to my mind when I first saw the thread 'mount ideas' I shall keep that to myself.

I personally don't think it would fit FFXIV's theme like it does with certain other MMOs.

Mechanical wings/hanggliders and the like are something entirely different though, I can get behind that. Created by our lovely MCH friends or something..
It fits the lore of inventors just fine.

Yeah some clockwork wings that would be stored in your bag and would come out when you double-tap space. That's what I would like.
Only problem with them is, that all other mounts can use old character animations while wings would require them to make new animations for flying character (superman pose aww yiss!).

Wouldn't really be any different, some mounts have different character poses and we move along with them so it would be the same process.
