Go to World of Warcraft and see that they had their content on repeat as much as ff14, except worse. They have been 10 times more successful than 11 ever could be, so this formula obviously does work despite how people feel about it. 11 was a good game for its time, but the consumers have changed and hardcore raiding is no longer appealing. no one wants to waste their time on possible fights anymore, no one wants to spend 18 hrs on a boss fight, no one wants to spend 7 hrs a day just to get a few levels or break a level cap that could take them weeks. I understand you want something challenging like 11, but those days are over. It is time to move on man. No one has the time anymore to set aside their life for a video game, but that is why 11 still is exist. Square does care still of the hardcore player. This is just a different game.FFXI had an amazing endgame, that kept people playing for years. FFXIV has an endgame set on repeat that people are already complaining about. Farm the same two dungeons over and over, cap tomes for gear. reset in 3 months and do it again for gear with slightly higher of the same boring stats. The raids are useless, no point beating your face on savage alexander when the gear is the same stuff you can get with eso currency with a different look.

Now... if it was up to me I would fix how content should be shoved out. Savage mode would be released first and 2 weeks later, normal mode. I am assuming aswell that the only reason they released the Alex armor from the first "wing" is because the 24 man was not ready and thus no end game gear was ready besides token grinding. I do not believe that square will release any more Alex armor because the 24 man will cover that, but the gear from AS is still different from AN by looks and attributes. You can still tell who is a raider and who is not just by dying your armor. I still have a drive to raid just for that purpose.
You mean people with the most complex bots in their linkshells, right?probly, someone else could claim the sayd boss, but THAT it what made the game fun, explosion of joy !!, or even infuriating ...
it gave some challenge,
and ppl with best organisation won
I'm saying PEOPLE DON'T HAVE 6 HOURS STRAIGHT to play in the game (unless you count them being afk because they eat, shower and sleep). Out of the 700k players, you might find something like 10k of people who have this kind of availability (that's about 1.5%) and they might not all like endgame content, regardless of how 'awesome' it is.and you say lock 6hrs, BUT GOD, DO WE EVEN HAVE SOMETHING WORSE SPENDING 6HRS ON ENDGAME CONTENT ATM ????????
let me answear for you,
I'd do the reverse. Normal first, Hard or Savage next. And not just because of the gearing, but to have some time saved on actually gauging the boss mechanics.Now... if it was up to me I would fix how content should be shoved out. Savage mode would be released first and 2 weeks later, normal mode.
I'd rather learn multiplication and division and then add fractions and exponents. Not start with all at once and then do the easier version after. You don't get in 4th grade and then do 3rd grade.
