We're suffocating on inventory space - how much of a priority is it to fix it?

Like I've said, show me an ounce of proof that THEY have ever placed blame on ps3. I've heard it was SERVER issues, DATA issues, never ps3. It's the way they coded things that's the problem, not the platforms the game is on.

You know that TP bar we recently got? THAT took so long because there wasn't enough memory left to allocate on the PS3. It's not a very far jump from there to saying, "You know that fifth bag slot? Yeah, not enough memory to keep track of 125 items." No, SE has not to my knowledge directly blamed PS3 for inventory issues, that much is true - but they HAVE blamed other things on it.

You can just buy that stuff again if you need it. However I always get rid of "ugly" gear.

Then again i'm a male, so not a lot of stuff looks good on my characters.

I was very short on space before Heavensward due to WAR, PLD, NIN, BRD, DRG, WHM, GOLD, MINE, and ALCH being Lv50. I have since eliminated WAR, DRG, and GOLD, so I NPC'd the gear as I have no intentions of playing those jobs currently. As for MINE and ALCH, they are at Lv50 with no immediate plans to level or retire them.

Depending on Patch 3.1, I may end up retiring WAR and BRD as well.

I was under the impression that 3.0 will grant us additional retainer, I guess they went the lazy solution and under deliver in just about everything, not to mention a patch that is about 5 months late. I seriously hope this is just one time thing and we can all move past forward and the next patch will come by early March 2016.

Five months late? HW released five months ago, are you seriously saying that 3.0 AND 3.1 should have been released together?

I agree with you on that. No matter how much inventory space you have, if you are struggling now, you will struggle forever more. Just don't hoard stuff I guess? That said, I do have all 8 retainers under my wing, mostly for selling though rather than hoarding. I simply keep my favorites glamour pieces and sell off the rest.

though it is a jump, just cuz there's a couple issues, doesn't mean EVERY issue is caused by it. That's just being ignorant. I admit ps3 has it's problems with the game, I'm not blind to that, I just refuse to accept the "lolps3" excuse for EVERYTHING

personally inventory space is fine - what I think needs more space is the armory chest one more page for each piece of equipment would be fine and fishers need a bait box.

What? I'm not gonna roll out a pedigree or whatever, but this is definitely not my first MMO. It is, however, the first MMO I've played where I have no way to increase my inventory in the game and that has introduced no inventory expansion with its expac (you usually get things like larger crafted bag sizes or whatever).

You don't NEED inventory expansions because you already start out with a ridiculous amount of space in this game. Yes, you can still fill it up easily, but this is where some regular spring cleaning comes into play. A lot of stuff people keep is either easily replaced, might have a "unique appearance" but is so ugly you'd never want to glamour it anyway, or sells in mass quantities on the market boards for 1 gil each anyway.

The *one* aspect of the inventory system that I feel could use more space is the section for rings in your armoury chest. With two ring slots there really should be two sections for rings. I level everything, and at various points in the leveling process, there have been times where I simply haven't been able to keep every ring that I use in my armoury chest.
