We're suffocating on inventory space - how much of a priority is it to fix it?

Why can't they just take some of the space for key items and make it for regular items?

Because the "space" for key items is not the same thing as the space for regular items. It merely looks that way because they wanted a way to show icons for your key items in the same way as it does for your normal items. Also, if you have enough quests active, you definitely can have close to that many key items, too.

Your request makes about as much sense as asking the devs of FFXI to take away key item "space" from there so we could have more inventory. It's two totally separate systems.

I think as far as they're concerned right now, they added more paid retainers to mogstation, the problem has been fixed.

It would be interesting to see how many items there were at the start of 2.0 vs 3.0, really 3.1 now, and the addition of 3 new classes. With no increase in inventory space other than paying for it. Obviously its about money, like everything, but to keep adding items and not increasing player storage without paying for is a bit unrealistic.

People wonder why there's undercutting on the MB. Heck I'll undercut huge amounts just to liquidate inventory for more space. When you have all DoH/DoL classes plus multiple combat classes it gets pretty taxing managing that stuff, never mind gear for glamour.

Everyone who thinks we're lacking for space in this game has so obviously never played almost any other sort of online RPGish game (FFXI is merely one of MANY examples).

What? I'm not gonna roll out a pedigree or whatever, but this is definitely not my first MMO. It is, however, the first MMO I've played where I have no way to increase my inventory in the game and that has introduced no inventory expansion with its expac (you usually get things like larger crafted bag sizes or whatever). It is also the first game where I've actually had space issues. There is so much crap taking up unnecessary space in this game, and SE's just standing off to the side hoping that people will cave for one of the most exploitative cash grabs I've ever seen. Renting extra storage space for a monthly fee? Good grief, do the people who actually buy into that realize how much money they're going to spend on freaking inventory space? Even in a F2P MMO, that's a one-time fee and usually fairly small!

Say that again when you have a bunch of 60s, a lot of 50s, and while you are leveling/using your DoL and DoH. All that without doing a trip to your retainers every 30 minutes, nor discarding old gearsets that you bought, grinded for and/or crafted with a lot of effort, and that you would like/need to keep for glamours. And God help you if you want to PvP while being able to change your job as needed.

That doesn't work without using your own FC, as we can't send mail to our own alts.

If we keep getting more and more items, gear sets for every job, and keeping some key stuff on our regular inventory, it's only logical to increase the available space (in-game). The fact that after 3.1 we'll be able to store event items on the armoire without waiting X months is a step in the right direction, but we still need to fix the rest.

More like multible accounts. Because you can't freind your alts, you can't mail stuff to them. You either need them on separate accounts, or have a friend act as a middle-man every single time.
