provoke has a longer range (5 yalms I think?) than shield lob/tomahawk/whatever, as long as you follow it up with actual aggro management pulling like this is fine in dungeons

edit: but the guy was a dick when its an understandable question, this is not how provoke was used in hw/sb

I do like them that doesn’t mean I want to be in there more than necessary there are many things to do, it’s ok though I tank my own dungeons.

All I have to say is if they game is such a slog you have to speed through group content then why are you playing in the first place?
It’s not that it’s a slog plenty of players have other things to do like for example right now leveling crafters and gatherers, and tons of other things that I don’t even have time for.

Oh and going fast is more fun for me than going slow.

At the end of the day your job is to hold hate on all enemies and use your cooldowns. Just like at the end of the day a healer’s job is to heal to their best ability anything.

You can well damn expect for me to try to save that idiot who keeps standing on crap for the 15th time or tanking anything the other players pull because that’s my role in the game depending on what class I am playing I don’t cry about it I just do it.

It's part of the reason - maybe the main reason - that even though I want to tank and have leveled all three to some degree, I haven't brought any into a dungeon and possibly never will. Going from a healer there is a lot to learn switching over to tanking. I watch tanks a lot given my role, but there's a ton more to tanking then just knowing your rotation and the grief you get on DF has totally put me off from trying to learn it. No room is allowed to learn that role anymore. My hat's off to you for hanging in there.
You’ll never get the confidence to do wall to wall pulls if you never try.

    What stress?

I am not a bad tank, in fact, I usually don't have issue with more bobs at once.

My point is I should be the one getting them and not the others just because they want ultra fast clear. I like taking time and not having a cluster hell in front of me. Why people needs to always be super fast with everythings and not actually enjoy the game? Playing a game or a MMO shouldn't be at any time a chore.

Peoples seems to forget that video games is for fun, not stats/numbers.
Here's an idea that I did a while ago when I was tanking in WoW.

I had a chat macro ready that said in party chat something along these lines:
"Hello! I'm your tank! I will be doing the tanking! Please give me a second or two to get the attention of the monster(s). WARNING: If you pull a monster or a boss instead of me, you WILL be the one that tanks it.

You pull it, you tank it.
I made it in such a way that at the click of a button on my action bar, I could get it across to the party members that I am in no mood of competing aggro with DPS, and I also told them that if they are the ones to pull it, I will not pick up aggro, and they're the ones to tank it.

Now, I didn't do that to be mean. It was a cause and affect thing. Needless to say, we'd only really ever wipe once, and every time after that was folks being understandably new to mechanics.

I guess where i'm going with this is to make a macro to explain the rules, but it's extremely important that you add in "You pull it you tank it."

Or you can stop behaving like a petty child on a power trip, accept that other people are not your slaves and just grab aggro with one single button because how you play tank does not change in any way if you are against 3 mobs or 30.

I apologize that you see it that way, and hope that you come to understand it in the future.

    Very simple solution.

    Wall to wall every pull.

Don't let the 'im the tank' ego take over your mentality and just play efficiently for everyone in the party.
