Had one tank (not new mind you) let a dps die because they pulled ahead. And then said tank complained and stopped doing anything because the dps were still ahead. We vote kicked the tank. Hadn't seen that in years. This is not 2005 where aggro management is a thing.
That said if someone's new it's perfectly fine to slow down and let them enjoy their first run.
Same debate as always.
Stuff like this is why I gave up on the idea of tanking for pugs a long time ago.Had one tank (not new mind you) let a dps die because they pulled ahead. Stuff like this is why I really cut back on group content. That sort of mentality really drains me imo. I enjoy wall to wall tanking but people can't seem to realize that not every dungeon is built to do that. I'm not even exclusively a tank but I always let out an audible sigh when I see dps and healers pull ahead because then I worry that the group is about to devolve into a s**tshow because the dps couldn't kill the group fast enough, the healers couldn't keep up, or the tank not realizing they have more buttons than their 123 combo. All I have to say is if they game is such a slog you have to speed through group content then why are you playing in the first place?

lol if you can’t handle the fire then stay out of kitchen
Who the hell wants to spend more extra time in a dungeon than is necessary?
On an opposite note, had a tank refuse to move forward after someone from an old FC and I asked, just wondering, why he decided to start pulls with provoke...he said something along the lines of "and this is why I hate randoms" and did nothing after that but argue that we were verbally assaulting him, even when we asked if we could just keep going so we can go our own ways...this was back in HW mind you, during the Aery, right before the second boss. We did kick him, and his friend who was the healer apologized for his behavior, but stuck around and finished the dungeon with us when we got a replacement(second after the kick)Had one tank (not new mind you) let a dps die because they pulled ahead. I will say the last few times I have gotten Stone Vigil as a healer have been difficult for me, I just don't seem to have the tools I need to not be using Benefic a lot.
