I hope that - in the future - we get something similar to FFIX's 'Chocobo Hot and Cold' minigame. That was a lot of fun and I feel like making that game into something bigger would work out well for FFXIV.

So you tell me this, why would we need an incentive to get esoterics? Is ilvl 200 gear not enough already? If the demand for more players grinding for esoterics is that important then what has everyone been doing for the past 6 months? I'll answer that for you, grinding for esoterics. I don't see your point dude, in fact it seems like a poor excuse to make opposition. I recommend reading my points again as you don't see where I'm focusing my interests here, and if you do, well I dunno what I can do for you. Stage right, new domain. :/I'm not entirely sure if you honestly misread my post or are being intentionally obtuse.
My point was that the OBJECTIVE LIST, the whole purpose of your thread, was implemented as a way to add the incentive of esoterics to the new feature, not that the entire concept of airship exploration was added to supplement eso.
It sounds like you really just don't want to be playing an MMO. Don't worry though; fallout 4 comes out tuesday and you can get all of your immersion there without any of the distasteful side effects of having other people in your immersive single player experience.
Have fun with Fallout 4 though, I'm not a survival game kind of guy.
Still won't stop others from looking at theirs (as they have the right to keep) and including the fact that I can't solo these It'd feel like I'm doing less work for my team by running around aimlessly (in their eyes).Suggestion. If it bothers you that much, type the following simple text command into your chat, and retype it when you leave the exploration area......

Problem solved. You can't see the objectives, so for all intents and purposes they don't exist to guide you. Explore, kill things, whatever. You might get a bonus if you complete some of these "hidden objectives", but you won't know what they are unless you deliberately try to look to them for guidance. Fully, unguided exploration, as you desire.....
Tbh, I actually would take your advice if I was absolutely sure that there was hidden content, because that would mean there's something I can find on my own along with list I pushed to the side, its fun to find hidden new things. I may have to look at the stream again to see if they mentioned hidden secret mobs, because that would be pretty rewarding. Hell, I'd be even ok with the list IF there was something hidden I could find. Otherwise its just a scavenger/monster hunt

Those so-called "to do lists" are just a bunch of "kill trash, collect stuff if you want extra fluff". Serious groups would rampage through it in 10 mins if they even want to and then proceed to explore and hunt marks for chests. However it'll be fine for DF groups because that gives at least a chance for some stuff if your group is sub-par and can't compete in the hunting fields (like, wiping on mobs) (you know it will happen)
I think you have to kill enemies to make the chests pop up. And I hope i have not spoiled too much with this

Nah its not that important to be considered a spoiler, but if all the chests were like this we'd just be hunting monsters for em. Thanks for sharing, didn't know about thatI think you have to kill enemies to make the chests pop up. And I hope i have not spoiled too much with this

yeah the chests will just be dropped after we kill mobs, and their grade will be dependent of the monster "rank".
There is almost certainly far more content than what is displayed on the list. Those are just the "bonuses" you can complete to get extra rewards. There will be plenty of high level mobs running around, gathering spot, and secrets beyond those few items listed there...Still won't stop others from looking at theirs (as they have the right to keep) and including the fact that I can't solo these It'd feel like I'm doing less work for my team by running around aimlessly (in their eyes).

I hope so. Even with my current gripes about the upcoming patch I'm still hyped for it. Mainly because I've been waiting for 6 months for this and I'm so friggen bored of the same thing that if a moogle flew up to my room window at my fc house my mind would f#$%in explode. There is almost certainly far more content than what is displayed on the list. This would be best, once an objective has been discovered it is unlocked on the list giving us a feeling we are actually exploring and not treading old ground. Let the tryhards make their lists and leave normal people to actually explore.I think a better idea would be instead of giving us a to-do list. Give us a blank list that randomly fills in as the party explores, having the map be somewhat randomly generated. Come across a lake "Why not fish", a mining area, walk into a zone with monsters who ambush? Pop it up in the list now. Having a preset kinda ruins it cus you know what to expect.
