Do you consider obligations a menu? And I think you're kinda jumping the shark.
Why can't you make your own obligations then? I mean, you don't have to do any of those things. Nobody is forcing you.

That was amazing, the feeling of being immersed into an unknown world. You had to make your own path and your own way and carve your name into it.
They don't make MMOs like that these days unfortunately.

Nothing will ever be quite like your first MMO. Unfortunately, that whole 'unknown world' is made known by numerous web sites.
There are a heck of a lot of new players in this game making their own first memories. Try to be pleasant about it.
I jumped onto Galaxies after NGE so I never got to experience that game you speak of. But then I joined for the space flight and not really the MMO.SWG: After Tutorial, Before Game Changes
