Cash shop and the situation with the game.

As it was proven the cash shop did not hurt the game. Many people are happy with it and keep buying cosmetic things from there. We did not have a mass exodus of players because of the cash shop. Also note that all games have cash shops be it free to play or not it does not matter. As long as the items are cosmetic people have no problem with it. The people complaining in the forums about it are a minority. We like it or not this is the truth. Let's bring up other more serious matters of the game like content, future patches, class and content balance etc.

If the cash shop wasn't there the Odin mount would have been a drop from the fight just like the primal pony mounts. Minions could have been in moogle delivery quest or some sidequests like they usually do, hell even main story rewards. Dyes same, they should have been from retainers too.

That kind of thing makes the game better.

Many people also play horrible games for mobile that are filled with micro transaction bs. Doesn't mean it's right. I'm sorry that the small minority is the smart one.

Trying to prove that your thesis is the right one by implying all the community are the "bad" ones while you belong to the group of the "enlightened high intelligent elite gamer group" or whatever you think you belong to, is certainly not the way to go.

Following that logic you could remove everything non gameplay related from the game and add it to the cash shop. The thing is this isn't a free to play game, and for many MANY people glamour is a HUGE part of the game. So it does break the balance and motivation for them.

Anyway i remember that since i'm here since release and i had to deal with the server issues myself too and also had to pay a vpn for ages to be able to play with a decent ping because the servers were located in a different continent and SE wouldn't tell you that but instead we had servers with an EU tag when they are in NA.

You didn't give any "fact". Your personal opinions are not facts. You don't like those items in the shop? Neither do I. They are Optional and I chose to not buy anything from there. Server tags were about the community the servers were intended to and not about their actual location. NA and EU have different rush hours and that's why we needed different servers. Also categorizing from the beginning as EU and NA made the EU transfer easier.

You have not given anyone facts. You have claimed that the Mog Shop is, "bad for the game". Do you have any evidence to back this up? Do you have subscription growth rates before and after it was introduced? Do you have responses from people who stop playing citing the cash shop as the primary reason? No, I bet you don't.

Do you have any evidence to back up that it's good for us? I don't think you have seen me post saying that it's the reason people quit lol. But ofc i can tell you that it's also not a reason to make you stay or make the game more attractive for new players.

I find it funny how people get so upset over glorified pixels that has absolutely no value or meaning.
The optional items are like optional items you can pick up at the store when shopping. You sure as hell don't need it, but you might want it anyways and have to pay extra to get it.

Perception bias followed by exaggeration. Subs increased with the released of Heavensward. They may be slightly down due the 5 month gap between 3.0 and 3.1, but by all accounts the game is doing well enough to keep going. I think you vastly overestimate how many people are turned away by the cash shop. I don't think I've seen a single post in any forum where someone cited the Mog Shop was enough of an irritant to quit the game. The usual reasons are the requirement to complete the entire ARR storyline before playing HW, and the lull we've had in content.
