FFXI Crossover Event - No Crab Mount?

They do an awful job all around of representing FFXI. About 30 amazing and memorable story characters to choose from and we get a comic relief side character with a generic player character model for our Dissidia character, all because they wanted to plug the overpriced "add-on" garbage they were making at the time.

Could be worse. Boyahda Tree is in the middle of nowhere. Nothing like your puller accidentally grabbing Aquarius and the tank deciding it's no biggy. WHM reraise fell off some time ago? RIP Party.

If you read what I wrote, I actually said to celebrate its entire existence, not just one portion of time.



They basically killed the exp parties in favor of leveling in a way completely devoid of any thought, invalidated all of the years of horizontal progression endgame, and funneled people into groups of "try to hit it with the right abilities and spells" as a replacement for all of those unique and varied events. I don't know how anyone could reasonably say that wasn't drastic.

It was drastic. I'm from the 75 crowd. I left... was thoroughly disappointed in what they did to the game.

I left during Aht Urghan originally but came back in the 99 era, and honestly, I have just as many great memories from that time as I do during the 75 era. Abyssea was definitely a big shift for the game but I wish I had never left for WoW, personally.
