Exploratory Mission

I'm hoping by starting this thread we can get some verification from the developers regarding the need for tanks of mission ceruleum. I'm going to assume that what they mean is "Free Company" credits are needed to purchase them, one per person, for a total of 640 per party, 1920 per alliance. Is there going to be some type of increase in FC credits earned to counter the very steep price to do these exploratory missions, or are we just expected to eat the costs until our coffers run dry?

Also, how is duty abandon by players be handled? Because with the 2 hour enter 'cooldown' it will be REALLY annoying if someone starts talking about leaving before the 90 minutes.

1920 credit per run, unless you run 12+ times a day (because multiple groups), isn't that much.

On a bad day I probably gain at least 640 credits on my own. Paying for an entire party.

I thought it was 1 tank per airship(party) used?

To me it sounded like one tank /per airship and if you don't go with an FC you get a "voucher" which I'm assuming is going to be sold in Ishgard for gil.

I imagine one will freely be able to trade these, even if each person had 99 on hand, 7920 FC credits, but at 2hrs a run rotation if say did it 3 times a day for 21 runs a week that's 21, so it would take about a month to use up 99 per person but the reason I say it this way is because if you can trade it/sell it then those with a lot of FC points with nothing to spend them on will most likely try to sell them and if they do getting a hold of 30+ on your own shouldn't be that tough.

There are what appear to be two different types of items used. There's the solo Mission Tank Ceruleum "voucher" from Ishgard, then the Tank of Mission Ceruleum for FC airships. It also says "everyone" must have it, so again, verification would be nice beforehand.

This is going to be a major pain. To participate in a FC mission, each player MUST have a Tank of Mission Ceruleum, which can only be purchased using the FC credits. Most FC's restrict who can spend credits. In addition, it will be very difficult to fill out a FC mission through the PF as everyone will need one of these tanks. I would guess that most PF missions would exclude those who don't have their own tanks.

I made a post about this problem after release of the preliminary patch notes.

I read the exact same thing. I think it was in the patch notes, but it was also said on Duty Commenced as well that you would need 700 gil to buy a Mission Ceruleum Voucher, which would take you to the Diadem via Ishgard. And I believe that was per person, not just one per party.

As for FC transport to the Diadem, it was one Mission Ceruleum tank per airship. I'm 90% sure.
