    Credit/Debit card

I don't know if my question can be posted here. Apologies if I've got the wrong place!

My friend received recently FF XIV but he is European player and his game has bought in
United States. He said he can't buy a subscription or item from cash shop with his European credit card (it seems to block by SE).

    There is a solution ?

    Thank you.

Sorry for mistakes, english is not my main language.

    Dumb question but...
Did he try changing the credit card info in Mogstation so that his EU card is the primary card on the account?
Also, make sure that the credit card he is using is one that is accepted by SE.

Alternatively, he can maybe use his card to buy Crysta and use that to pay for things?

Personally, I don't think him buying the game in the States is a problem. An FC mate of mine bought his copy of FFXIV in the States but he lives in Peru and he's able to play just fine. However, he ran into hell when trying to register his CC for the sub.

One easy solution would be buying Crysta via PayPal.

That's what I do since I don't really trust the system to take my card info and keep payments on it. :x

If it is truly blocked, period, even with crysta etc. Then you could have him paypal you money, and buy him a visa prepaid debit card in the states with said money on it. Then tell him the numbers off the prepaid card.

Optionally they can use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to make it look like his internet traffick is coming from the states, then he/she should be able to get on the website as if they were an American and use the us version of paypal.

    E.g. BattlePing

Mine isn't an EU card but I solved my card payment issue by enabling oversea/international transaction at the banking site.
Maybe you could ask your friend to check out if there's such thing for his card or have him contact the bank to see if this was the case?

Make a ticket and see if support can swap the account to an EU one or give him your fried a new key. Don't use the account in the meanwhile since he might have to make a new one.
