How do you determine which one is the talking one?![]()
You.. get me wrong here.. lol
It's not for difficulty of content.. it's to partake into the game, enjoying it with someone else than your own.
They can increase the difficulty, I would be very happy for it! Thank you for the suggestion![]()
Yup, sadly, this is exactly how SE made it. I'm asking if the view of an MMO, at least co-op play, can be done, even in the main story..
maybe in 6.0 lol
Exactly, ty ^^I see no part where the OP is saying its difficult, simply that they wish to play with their significant other (or perhaps a friend).
Perhaps it could be like in SW:TOR wherein the friend (partner in this case?) can assist in some of the fighting but is simply an observer in other situations?
and nice suggestion you made!

I was just thinking, you know how certain quests ask you to say something in say? Maybe they could play off the spouse character like that. Where you supply the line while playing along with your spouse.
Well, having the chance for lines in a cutscene might be just the thing to get the whole "playing together" part right, and not just have it be a solo adventure.

I'm not asking for the old content to be redone. Just the future ones, if they.. can.I have nothing against it, as we all know alot of heroes have close friends that usually follow them on their adventures. Only problem then is that SE have to completely redo all the MSQ and add an additional version for when you play with others, to balance the difficulty, add more mobs etc. And cutscenes would have to be redone aswell. So I don't see this becoming reality in the near future.
Could be a nice incentive to get more players to play!
"FFXIV: Now you can co-op with your friend un a duo setting!"
Join the forces of 3 other couples into this new [insert awesome monster] Raid! ^^
Once again, you hit the nail on the first try! ^^I did not mean to imply you were against it, simply offer another situation wherein something similar has been done.
As I recall the cut-scenes with additional people in TOR did not actually feature said people but simply had the friend as an observer of the cut scene, though I can see the issue of having to create new instances for them to partake in combat as well.
Perhaps at least make it so that players are not forced to disband groups to do certain story or class quests? I've run into more than a few people in lower level dungeons who are missing key abilities for their class/job because they don't feel like leaving their friends to do the missions (Gladiator without Shield Lob in low level dungeons is not fun).
They can make it in Guild Wars, where all of the party are in cutscenes, but the leader of the group (GW it's random IIRC) would be the one doing the talking.
